淵泉 洪奭周의 文學觀과 顧炎武의 영향

국문 초록

조선후기 문단의 동향을 이해하기 위해서는 그에 영향을 미친 명말청초 문학을 고려할 필요가 있다. 명말청초 문인학자 顧炎武문학론에 대한 洪奭周의 수용은 종래의 문단에서 찾아보기 드문 고염무의 문학에 관한 사례라는 점에서, 그리고 홍석주의 문학관을 이해하는 하나의 단서가 된다는 점에서 주목할 만한 가치가 있는 사례이다. 이에 본고에서는 홍석주가 고염무의 문학론에 주목한 이유를 파악하기 위해 『鶴岡散筆』에 수록된 고염무에 관한 기록을 발췌하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 이단의 문학을 배척하고, 정통 유가의 이념을 옹호하는 차원에서 고염무의 설을 수용한 지점을 포착할 수 있었다. 고염무는 문학을 평가함에 있어 유가의 윤리성을 준거로 삼는다. 반유가적 성격의 문학작품을 비판하고, 유가의 경전을 문학의 전범으로 삼은 것이다. 홍석주는 이러한 고염무의 주장에 공감하고 그 논리를 문학의 비평과 창작에 수용한다. 이로써 보건대 홍석주는 고염무 문학의 유가적 성격을 긍정적으로 인식한 것이 아닌가 생각된다.

영문 초록

When we study its background there were some reasons 文體反正 Munchebanjeong had risen, we can see following facts: the Influx of anti-neo-confucianism and threat to 朱子Chu-tzu’s systems. It made an impact on Joseon’s scholars and took steps to protect Chu-tzu’s systems. That s because of Joseon’s political system. They took note of early Qing’s scholarly books to develop a strategy for tighten Chu-tzu theory. Their attention to Gu Yan-wu s studies are like that. That is why they introduced the theory of literature by Gu Yan-wu. In this situation, 洪奭 周Hong suk-ju found and established the scheme of 文體反正 Munchebanjeong. When we study his literature theory with Its focus on the Case of his book 鶴岡散筆Hakgangsanpil we can see following facts: First, Responding critically to the theory of literature by anti-Confucianist. Second, providing reasonable evidence to give the justification for Confucian literature theory. On the whole, this evidence is Gu Yan-wu s theory. For example, Gu Yan-wu launched a bitter diatribe against the literature theory of Wang Yangming and proved the proper function of Confucian literature, such as the parsimoniousness and practicability of Confucian literature. That s because it accord closely with Munchebanjeong. In other words, Hong suk-ju considered his theory to be reasonable evidence to give the justification for Confucianism. This implies that strongly influenced by Munchebanjeong.
