This paper is aiming at suggesting a direction for improvement for strengthening competitive power by performing a positive analysis on the difference of profitability and productivity based on farmhouse survey and the level of utilizing production elements effectively. As the result of analyzing the structure of input-output by the seeding method of carrot, the method of line sowing is proved to consume less labor and seed, and harvest more products when market value is reflected, so it is assumed to be a more effective production technology than broadcasting planting. And
this assumption is verified by the result measuring the production function to which dummy variables are added. As the result of analyzing the efficiency of production elements utilizing parameters, came from the result to measure production functions, first of all, VMPA is bigger than 1, thus cultivating acreage utilizing these 2 seeding methods will be probably increased through rent. However, VMPL is smaller than 1 in both seeding methods, and this phenomenon is analyzed to come from excessive input. Specially, VMPL of broadcasting planting is around 0.77, and this phenomenon is analyzed to input labor ineffectively compared to 0.97, VMPL of line sowing utilizing machineries. Accordingly, to improve these phenomenon and to cultivate carrot to be more profitable and competitive
corps, first, it is necessary to change spreading method to line sowing using machineries. second, more exact management is necessary to increase carrot quality, third, it is necessary to invent a farm machine available to run through work from spreading to harvesting. fourth, arranging production base to promote machinery introduction is urgently necessary.
