국문 초록

노화이론은 사회의 구조와 노인 및 개인, 또는 노인의 역할과 사회적 적응, 노인집단과 사회의 관계 등에 관한 것으로서 노화이론이 사회문화적 맥락을 넘어서 은퇴 이후의 삶에 실제 어떻게 적용되고 있는 지를 검토하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 사회적 노화의 제 이론들을 종합적으로 검토하고 그 장, 단점을 평가하였다. 은퇴를 경험한 노인의 은퇴적응과정과 은퇴태도를 노화이론과 연계하여 연구하였다. 그러나 각각의 이론에 대한 현장에서의 검증을 통한 비교분석으로 노화이론의 적응성을 지속적으로 연구할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Aging theory is relevant to social structure, the elderly, and an individual, to a role and social adjustment in the elderly, or to relationship between the elderly group and society. The aim was to examine how the aging theory is being actually applied to the life after retirement beyond the socio-cultural context. This study generally figured out all the theories of social aging and evaluated its merits and demerits. The retirement adaption process and the retirement attitude in the elderly who experienced retirement was investigated in connection with the aging theory. However, the adaptability of aging theory needs to continue to be researched with a comparative analysis through verification on each theory in the field.
