국문 초록

이 논문에서는 실존철학의 만남을 오늘날 활발하게 논의되고 있는 타자론과 관련해서 새롭게 살펴 보았다. 이를 통하여 주체 중심의 인간관에 기초한 전통적 교육론과 달리 타자를 주체의 존재와 변화의 근본 조건으로 인정하는 교육론의 가능성을 모색하였다. 이를 위하여 만남의 교육의 특징, 만남 교육의 타자적 성격, 타자적 만남에서 드러난 교육의 새로운 측면을 고찰하였다. 또한 전통적인 교육이해와 다른 타자를 고려하는 새로운 교육이해가 가능한지를 모색하였다. 만남은 개인 중심, 주체 중심을 거부하는 인간이해와 교육론이다. 만남은 언제나 나와 독립적으로 존재하는 타자를 전 제하며, 그 타자와의 만남 안에서 비로소 나는 나로 형성된다. 그런 점에서 만남의 교육은 전통적 교육론과 다르다. 주체의 고유성, 독립성이 만남 안에서 거부된다. 마찬가지로 고유한 주체의 발전과 완성이라는 전통적 교육이해도 거부된다. 만남의 교육은 낯선 타자와의 충돌을 통한 지평의 융합이다. 이와 같은 만남의 교육론은 홀리스틱 교육이 강조하는 배려와 일맥상통한다. 개체주의를 극복하고 나와 결정적으로 연관된 타자를 상정하기 때문이다. 뿐만 아니라 나와 관계하는 전체 인격으로서의 타자를 상정하고 그 관계를 중시한다는 점에서도 같은 맥락이라고 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

In this article we have tried to newly understand meeting in the existential philosophy in relation to the discussion of others being had vigorously nowadays. To do it, the theory of education in meeting organized by Bollnow is newly examined in relation to understanding of others. This lets us try to newly explain the existential philosophy, which is beyond its past understandings. Moreover, we have examined if the new understanding of man, apart from the view of man focused on the Subject and individuals that has been persisted with in the view of education up to now, is possible. By means of this, we have examined whether the new understanding of education in which others are considered, different from the traditional understandings, is possible. According to existential philosophy, the existence of man is only possible in meeting others. If we accept this, traditional education, which has tried to develop and complete individuals, becomes meaningless. In the same context the meaning of others becomes absolute. Others are the ones who make up the existence and education of man. Therefore others are the essential condition of human existence and education. And we can see the limitations of education focused on individuals and the Subject, and the life and education considering others.
