I traveled to China to develop the business plan I was working on. I started a recycling business, saying that I would work as a passage of material for God, but I used my business as an excuse to stay in China and left my family unattended. I followed money and success and served investors, trying to get on their good side by drinking and spending time with them at karaoke rooms. I tried to cover up my guilt by tithing 20 percent of my income and was obsessed with getting the pastor to pray for me. However, the financial crisis in 2008 hit my business like a hurricane force and the dark times came. I eventually went out of business and gave up all hope of being saved (Acts 27:20).
