It was last December when less than two weeks left before the deadline for the petition to amend the abortion law to protect fetal life. … a video clip that automatically played on the screen caught my eyes. … a teenage girl was putting a newborn baby in a baby box. She confessed, “I tried to abort this baby, but I couldn’t do it.” I burst into tears at the moment, thinking, “She is more righteous than I.” I had my first baby aborted to save face and protect my honor out of grave selfishness. I could not imagine myself being pregnant without being married, not to mention showing my pregnant self to all my professors and colleagues. I felt guilty but believed that it was the only option for me. … After my divorce, living as a single mother, I met God, repented of my sins, and was healed by His Grace. Seeing this little girl’s confession, for the first time, I cried and repented of my sin, “Lord, I killed my baby!” (Yukyung Jung)

To make up for the financial loss, I had to make extra income through side jobs and ended up staying at my parents’ house during the weekdays to cut the commuting time. It meant that I saw my wife only on the weekends. God tells us today to love our wives and to not be harsh with them (3:19), but I neglected my family even though I knew that my wife was going through a difficult and lonely time raising the kids by herself. I also embittered my children by being an absent father (3:21). When I tried to live by the Word of God and kept failing, Satanic whispers tormented me by saying, “You can’t live by the Word of God. You know you don’t have the strength to stay committed.” It was devastating to see myself forget God’s grace and return to my old self. (Yoohyun Jin)

Since my parents got divorced when I was young, I was always angry and frustrated for not being cared for enough and loved properly. As I got married without addressing the bitterness I had, I took it out on my wife and children, making my wife ask to separate and prepare divorce papers. And worse yet, I was addicted to drugs, gambling, and had affairs for the past 30 years, and hence I could not support my family or lead a normal life. With nine previous convictions for drug offenses and ten years in prison, I ruined my life and made my family suffer greatly. Some waste can be recycled, but I was like absolute trash. 《큐티인》 한글판은 2012년 창간된 후로 지난 7년간 수많은 영혼을 구원으로 이끌고, 깨어진 가정을 중수하며, 교회를 부흥시킨 말씀묵상지입니다. 성경의 원리를 삶의 전반에 적용시켜 복음 안에서 경건한 성도의 삶을 추구할 수 있도록 구속사적인 ‘본문해설’을 제공하고, 그날의 큐티 본문에 근거한 평신도들의 진솔한 묵상과 회개와 적용이 담긴 ‘간증’이 매일 수록되어 있습니다. 또한 보다 깊이 있는 공동체 큐티나눔을 위한 ‘소그룹 큐티 나눔’(Group QT Sharing)을 통해 청장년층의 영적 성장을 돕습니다.

더불어 영어권에 있는 해외 독자들의 수요가 점점 늘어남에 따라 2019년 9월에는 영문판 《QTin》이 eBook으로 창간되었고, 2020년 1월부터는 종이책으로도 발간되고 있습니다. 《QTin》은 국내외 독자들에게 구속사적인 말씀묵상 운동을 전하고자 40여 명의 필진과 편집부가 섬기고 있습니다. 《QTin》을 통해 한국뿐만 아니라 해외에서도 성도가 살아나고, 가정이 회복되며, 교회가 새롭게 되는 열매가 맺히기를 기대합니다.

큐티엠(큐티선교회, Quiet Time Movement)에서는 장년에서부터 청소년, 어린이, 영유아에 이르기까지 모든 세대가 한 말씀으로 날마다 묵상하는 것을 돕고자 2013년에는 《청소년 큐티인》을, 2014년에는 초등학생을 위한 《어린이 큐티인》을 차례로 창간한 바 있으며, 여기에도 청소년과 어린이 필자들의 생생한 묵상간증이 실려 있습니다. 그리고 2016년 1월에는 미취학 아동을 위한 《새싹 큐티인》을 창간하여 전 세대가 같은 말씀으로 묵상하도록 돕고 있습니다.
