지적장애 성인의 뇌파변화에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 ETC 기반 구조화 집단미술치료가 중증지적장애인 뇌파변화에 미치는 효과를 뇌파측정으로 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 주간보호센터를 이용하는 중증지적장애 성인 남자 5명 20-30대 편의표집하여 1인은 출석률이 저조하여 중도 탈락으로 결과에 제외시켰다. 기간은 2024년7월 26일부터 2025년 2월 23일, 사전, 사후 검사, 총 17회로 진행되었다. 측정도구는 Neurobrain(Neuro21, Korea), HTP그림검사를 사전 사후 실시하여 뇌파는 SPSS 24.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, 윌콕슨 부호순위 검정(Wilcoxon signed-ranks test)으로 분석하 였고 HTP그림검사와 ETC발달적 위계에 따라 회기별 질적 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 좌우뇌 델타파, 세타파, 베타파가 감소하였으나 유의미하지 않았다. 둘째, 육체적 긴장 및 정신적 스트레스 감소의 뇌파변화를 확인하였다. 셋째, HTP 그림검사를 미술치료 전․후 실시 질적 분석하였다. 넷째, 지적장애인의 ETC 기반 구조화 집단 미술치료는 ‘ETC’ 각 수준이 회기에 분리된 기능이 아닌 서로 연결되면서 매체와의 상호작용과 치료적 출현반응으로 나타났고, 지각능력과 상호작용의 향상은 HTP 그림검사의 질적 분석 결과로 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 ETC 기반 매체를 통한 치료적 경험이 지적장애인의 육체적 긴장, 스트레스를 감소시키고 인지적 기능의 유지, 향상에 도움이 되는 뇌파 변화를 확인하였고 연구의의와 제한점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ETC-based structured group art therapy on brainwave changes for people with severe intellectual disabilities. The study recurited 5 adult male participants with severe intellectual disabilities visiting their day care center in their 20s and 30s, but one participant was droppted out due to low attendance. The study executed a total of 17 pre- and post-test from July 26, 2024 to February 23, 2025, performed Neurobrain (Neuro21, Korea) and HTP picture test before and after, and analyzed their brainwaves by descriptive statistics and Wilcoxon signed-ranks test using the SPSS 24.0 program. Then, the study performed qualitative analysis for each session according to the HTP picture test and the ETC developmental hierarchy. The results of this study were as follows. First, the level of the left right brain delta wave, theta wave, and beta wave decreased, but they were not significant. Second, it confirmed brainwave changes in the reduction of physical tension and mental stress. Third, the study qualitatively analyzed HTP picture test before and after the art therapy. Fourth, the ETC-based structured group art therapy for participants demonstrated that each level of "ETC" was integrated across sessions rather than functioning separately, resulting in interaction with the medium and therapeutic emergence response. The study revealed their perceptual ability and interaction improvement after the qualitative analysis of the HTP picture test. Therefore, this study identified brainwave changes that therapeutic experiences through ETC-based media reduced physical tension and stress and helped maintain and improve their cognitive functions. Based on these findings, the significance and limitations of the study were discussed.
