국문 초록

This study investigated the influence of self-efficacy on career satisfaction among university students within the framework of Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT). It focused on the sequential mediating roles of outcome expectations and career preparation behavior, together with the moderated mediation effect of perceived school career support. A total of 582 undergraduate students enrolled in four-year universities in South Korea participated in an online survey assessing self-efficacy, outcome expectations, career preparation behavior, perceived university career support, and career satisfaction. Data were analyzed using the SPSS PROCESS macro, employing Model 6 to test serial mediation and Model 83 to examine moderated mediation. The results revealed a significant serial mediation effect, wherein self-efficacy positively predicted outcome expectations, which in turn promoted career preparation behavior, leading to higher career satisfaction. Furthermore, perceived university career support significantly moderated both the direct effect of self-efficacy on outcome expectations and the overall indirect effect on career satisfaction, providing empirical support for a moderated mediation model. These findings underscore the interplay between individual psychological factors and contextual institutional resources in the career development process and emphasize the importance of university-level support systems in strengthening the positive pathways from self-efficacy to career satisfaction.
