국문 초록

This study investigated the effects of childhood emotional trauma and perfectionistic self-presentation on interpersonal problems among college students. It also examined the moderating effect of perfectionistic self-presentation on the relationship between childhood emotional trauma and interpersonal problems in this population. Data were collected from 177 college students (57 males and 120 females) using the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (Lee, 2006), Perfectionistic Self-Presentation Scale (Ha, 2011), and the Short Form of the Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scales (Hong et al., 2002). SPSS 24.0, and SPSS PROCESS macro 3.5 were used for the analysis. Correlation, hierarchical multiple regression, conditional effects, and simple slope analyses were conducted. The results showed that childhood emotional trauma and perfectionistic self-presentation influenced interpersonal problems among college students. Furthermore, perfectionistic self-presentation moderated the relationship between childhood emotional trauma and interpersonal problems among college students. Thus, the influence of childhood emotional trauma on interpersonal problems varies, depending on the level of perfectionistic self-presentation. These findings suggest that interventions to improve childhood emotional trauma and perfectionistic self-presentation are necessary to reduce interpersonal problems among college students. Corresponding strategies for improving childhood emotional trauma and perfectionistic self-presentation are discussed.
