국문 초록

본 연구에서는 성찰적 수퍼비전을 경험한 수퍼바이지 3인의 경험을 내부자적 관점에서 서술함으로써 성찰적 수퍼비전에서의 성찰의 과정과 특징을 살펴보았다. 협력적 자문화기술지의 연구방법을 통해 33개의 의미단위, 11개의 하위범주, 4개의 상위범주가 도출되었다. 성찰적 수퍼비전에서의 성찰 과정은 첫째, 낯선 질문들로 당황함과 어색함을 느끼며 혼란이 촉발되었다. 둘째, 수퍼바이저와 수퍼바이지들과의 협력적 관계 경험 안에서 혼란을 견디고 머무를 수 있는 시공간이 생성되었다. 셋째, 관찰자적 자세를 배우고, 실행 중 성찰과 실행 후 성찰이 공존하는 상호작용 과정을 통해 혼란의 의미를 발견하고 구성할 수 있었다. 넷째, 성찰적 수퍼비전에서의 경험은 수퍼바이지의 자기 신뢰와 주체성을 강화하는 개인적 성장을 촉진하고 상담자의 전문성 발달이 개성화의 방향으로 나아갔다. 본 연구에서는 성찰적 수퍼비전에서 실행 중 성찰의 구체적인 양상을 경험적으로 밝혔으며, 성찰을 제한하는 한국적 수퍼비전 문화의 특성을 비판적으로 조망하였다. 이에 성찰적 수퍼비전의 실제 적용 가능성과 실천적 조건을 모색함으로써, 상담자의 개인적 성장과 전문성 발달을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 성찰적 수퍼비전 모델의 확산이 필요함을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

This study explores the process and characteristics of reflection within reflective supervision by describing the experiences of three supervisees from an insider’s perspective. Using collaborative autoethnography, the analysis yielded 33 meaning units, 11 subcategories, and four overarching categories. The reflective process unfolded in four stages. First, the supervisees experienced confusion and awkwardness triggered by unfamiliar questions. Second, a safe space emerged through collaborative relationships between the supervisors and supervisees, enabling the supervisees to endure and work through this confusion. Third, by adopting an observer's stance and engaging in both reflection-in-action and reflection-on-action, the supervisees constructed meaning from their experiences. Fourth, these processes promoted the personal growth of the supervisees by enhancing their self-trust and agency, and their professional development progressed toward individuation. This study empirically revealed the specific dynamics of reflection-in-action and critically examined cultural characteristics of Korean supervision practices that tend to restrict reflection. Furthermore, exploring the practical conditions and applicability of reflective supervision, this study emphasizes the need to disseminate reflective supervision models that effectively support the personal growth and professional development of counselors.
