진로유연성이 진로적응성에 미치는 영향: 일의 의미의 조절효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 6개월 이내에 이직을 경험한 30･40대 성인을 대상으로, 진로유연성과 진로적응성 간의 관계에서 일의 의미가 조절효과가 있는지를 검토하였다. 조절효과 분석 결과, 일의 의미가 진로유연성과 진로적응성 간의 관계를 부적으로 유의하게 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로, 일의 의미가 평균보다 낮거나 평균수준일 때 진로유연성은 진로적응성에 긍정적인 관련을 보였다. 반면, 일의 의미가 평균보다 높은 경우에는 이러한 관계가 약화되는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 진로유연성과 진로적응성 간의 관계에서 ‘일의 의미’가 심리적 맥락 변수임을 확인하였으며, 진로교육 및 진로상담에서 진로유연성이나 진로적응성 뿐만 아니라 일의 의미를 함께 고려하는 것이 필요함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigated whether the meaning of work has a moderating effect on the relationship between career flexibility and career adaptability among adults in their 30s and 40s who had experienced job turnover within the past 6 months. In the moderating effect analysis, it was found that the meaning of work significantly moderated the relationship between career flexibility and career adaptability in a negative direction. Specifically, when the meaning of work was low or moderate, career flexibility was positively associated with career adaptability; however, when the meaning of work was high, this relationship was weakened. This study confirmed that the meaning of work is a psychological context variable in the relationship between career flexibility and career adaptability. This study suggested that career counseling and career education should take into account not only career flexibility and career adaptability, but also the meaning of work.
