국문 초록
This study investigates the effect of river basins on wind and thermal environments in urban areas using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling.
By reducing the surface temperature of river basins relative to the terrain, changes in wind fields, temperature reduction rates, cold air movement, and observational data were analyzed. Results showed that river basins generally decreased wind speed near the surface, functioning as airflow buffers. This effect was stronger in areas adjacent to river basins and in downwind urban regions. Surface temperature reductions led to an average near-ground temperature decrease of 2.61%, with localized reductions exceeding 5% in regions with altered airflow. These findings highlight river basins' potential to mitigate urban heat and alleviate the urban heat island effect. Comparison with Automated Synoptic Observing System (ASOS) data revealed that the CFD model replicated summer conditions most accurately, improving wind simulation accuracy by 15.14% with the inclusion of waterbody surface temperatures. Temperature predictions were slightly underestimated but closely aligned with observed values. This study underscores the importance of integrating river basins in urban planning as effective measures for mitigating heat and improving wind environments. Further research is needed to evaluate diverse urban configurations and environmental sensitivities.
