국문 초록

이 연구는 여가비용이 개인의 행복에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 나아가 여가비용충분도 수준에 따라 여가비용이 행복에 미치는 영향이 어떻게 달라지는지를 검토하였다. 2023년‘국민여가활동조사’데이터를 활용하여, 전국 만 20세 이상 성인을 대상으로 다단계층화집략추출(stratified multi-stage cluster sampling) 방법을통하여 수집된 9,525명의 자료를 분석하였다. SPSS 28.0 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석 및 기술통계분석을 실시하였으며, 변인 간 상관관계를 규명하기 위해Cronbach’s α를 활용한 상관관계분석을 실시하였다. 또한 여가비용 충분도의조절효과를 검증하기 위하여 Andrew F. Hayes가 개발한 Process Macro 프로그램의 Model 1을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 여가비용은 행복에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 여가비용 충분도 또한 행복에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 특히 여가비용과 행복의 관계에서 여가비용 충분도의 조절효과가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 여가비용 충분도가 낮은 집단에서는 여가비용이 행복에 미치는 영향이 더욱 강하게 나타났으나, 여가비용 충분도가 높은 집단에서는 그 효과가 점차 약화되는 경향을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 행복에 대한 여가비용의 영향력이 절대적 금액보다는 개인의 인식에 따라 달라질 수 있음을 시사한다. 이 연구는 여가비용 자체의 수준뿐만 아니라, 개인이 지각하는 여가비용의 충분도가 행복에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 점을 실증적으로 규명하였다. 향후 연구에서는 여가비용과 행복의 관계가 다양한 개인적, 사회적, 그리고 경제적 요인에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지에 대한 추가적 분석이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the impact of leisure expenditure on individual happiness and further examines how this relationship varies depending on the perceived sufficiency of leisure expenditure. Utilizing data from the 2023 National Leisure Activity Survey, the analysis was conducted on a sample of 9,525 individuals aged 20 and older, selected through stratified multi-stage cluster sampling. Descriptive statistics and correlation analyses were conducted using SPSS 28.0, and the moderating effect of perceived leisure expense sufficiency was tested using Hayes’s Process Macro (Model 1). The results revealed that both leisure expenses and their perceived sufficiency had significant positive effects on happiness, perceived sufficiency moderated the relationship between leisure expenses and happiness: the positive effect of leisure expenses on happiness was stronger among those who perceived their expenses as insufficient, and weaker among those who perceived them as sufficient. These findings suggest that the impact of leisure spending on happiness depends more on individuals’ perceptions than on the actual amount spent. This study empirically demonstrates that not only the level of leisure expenditure but also the perceived sufficiency of such expenditure plays a critical role in influencing happiness. Future research should further explore how the relationship between leisure expenditure and happiness may differ depending on various individual, social, and economic factors.
