국문 초록

본 연구는 일반긴장이론을 기반으로, 집단 괴롭힘 피해 경험이 다문화 청소년의 비행에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 우울의 매개효과와 가족지지의 조절된 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 「다문화청소년 패널조사」 자료를 활용하여 한국 다문화 청소년 1,094명을 표본으로 선정하여 SPSS 27.0과 PROCESS Macro 4.2를 방법을 통해 매개모형과 조절된 매개모형을 검증하였다. 분석 결과는 첫째, 집단 괴롭힘 피해 경험은 다문화 청소년의 비행에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 집단 괴롭힘 피해 경험과 비행 간의 관계에서 우울의 부분 매개효과가 유의하게 나타났다. 셋째, 우울과 비행 간의 관계에서 가족지지의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 넷째, 집단 괴롭힘 피해 경험이 우울을 매개로 비행에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 가족지지의 조절된 매개효과가 검증되었다. 이를 바탕으로 집단 괴롭힘 피해 경험과 다문화 청소년의 비행 간의 관계를 체계적으로 분석하고, 우울의 매개역할과 가족지지의 완충적 기능을 규명하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 다문화 청소년의 비행을 예방하기 위해서는 심리·정서적 개입과 함께 가족지지 체계 강화를 포함한 실천적 전략과 정책적 지원 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of bullying victimization on delinquency among multicultural adolescents through the perspective of General Strain Theory. Specifically, the study explored the mediating role of depression and the moderated mediating effect of family support. Data were drawn from the 8th (2018) and 9th (2019) waves of the "Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study" conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute, comprising a sample of 1,094 multicultural adolescents in South Korea. The 8th wave provided data on bullying victimization (independent variable), depression (mediating variable), and family support (moderating variable), while the 9th wave included measures of delinquency (dependent variable) and control variables, including gender, residential area, household economic status, and parental education levels. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 27.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2 to test both the mediation and moderated mediation models. The results of this study are as follows. First, bullying victimization had a significant positive effect on delinquency among multicultural adolescents. Second, depression partially mediated the relationship between bullying victimization and delinquency, and this mediating effect was statistically significant. Third, the moderating effect of family support in the relationship between depression and delinquency was confirmed. Fourth, the moderated mediating effect of family support was verified in the pathway where bullying victimization influenced delinquency through depression. Conditional effect analyses indicated that the indirect effect of depression was significant when family support was low but became insignificant when family support was moderate or high. These findings suggest that the mediating role of depression in the relationship between bullying victimization and delinquency is amplified under conditions of low family support. This study systematically analyzed the relationship between bullying victimization and delinquency among multicultural adolescents through the lens of General Strain Theory. It examined the mediating role of depression and the buffering effect of family support to establish a theoretical foundation for delinquency prevention. The findings underscore the critical importance of early intervention to address bullying victimization and highlight the necessity of psychological and emotional support to alleviate depression, a prominent negative emotion contributing to delinquent behavior. Additionally, family support was identified as a protective factor, underscoring the necessity of establishing systems to strengthen family support. Based on these findings, the study offers policy and practical recommendations for delinquency prevention and proposes directions for future research while acknowledging its limitations.
