영유아교사의 학부모 민원에 대한 은유분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 영유아교육기관에서 교사-부모 간의 신뢰감을 형성하고, 교사의 민원대처에 대한 지원방안을 모색하기 위해 영유아교사가 느끼는 학부모의 민원유형을 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 B시, U시, G시의 영유아교사 106명을 대상으로 ‘민원’에 대해 은유적으로 표현하고, 그 이유와 해당 민원의 구체적 사례를 묻는 개방형 문항 설문을 토대로 개념을 범주화하고, 범주 내의 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 요구형, 건의형, 갈등형, 비난형, 호소형, 협력형, 양날형의 총 7개의 민원에 대한 은유분석 범주를 도출하였다. 영유아교사들은 학부모의 민원을 주로 부정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 그러나 일부 교사들은 민원을 건설적 피드백과 협력의 기회로 인식하며, 이를 통해 교육의 질을 개선할 수 있다고 보았다. 또한 민원이 순기능과 역기능이 함께 있다고 인식하기도 하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 영유아교사의 민원대처에 대한 다양한 지원방안을 도출하는 데 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine early childhood teachers' perceptions of civil complaints to foster trust between teachers and parents in early childhood education and to identify support measures for teachers' responses to such complaints. To this end, 106 early childhood teachers from three cities metaphorically described “complaints.” The concepts were categorized based on an open-ended questionnaire that asked about the reasons for and specific examples of civil complaints. The frequency and percentage within each category were then calculated. The analysis identified seven metaphorical categories of complaints: critical, suggestive, demand-based, double-edged, conflict-driven, appeal-based, and cooperative. The findings indicate that early childhood teachers primarily perceived complaints from parents in a negative light. However, some teachers viewed civil complaints as an opportunity for constructive feedback and collaboration, which could contribute to improving the quality of education. In addition, civil complaints were recognized as having both positive and negative functions. Based on these findings, this study aims to provide foundational data for developing various support measures to help early childhood teachers manage civil complaints effectively.
