플루트 배우기 : 개념 이해에 관한 민속방법론 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 악기 연주법과 같은 암묵지를 터득해 가는 학습자의 실제 학습경험을 어떻게 기술하고 분석할 것인가 하는 관심으로부터 출발하였다. 이 연구에서 본 사례는 학습자가 플루트 배우기를 학습하는 상황으로 곡의 진행과 분위기에 따라 연주법을 변용하여 표현해야 함에 어려움을 느끼고 코칭과 연습 중에 어떻게 연주해야 하는지를 터득해 가는 장면이다. 이 연구에서는 민속방법론의 관점으로 학습자와 악기, 악보, 코칭과 개별 연습의 상호작용 중 드러나는 변화양상에 주목하고 미시적 생성으로서의 대화와 사운드를 분석한다. 민속방법론은 학습경험을 실천적 행위의 시간적 흐름이라는 차원에서 재해석하고자 하였으며, 미시적 생성분석에서는 그러한 상호작용 방식의 해석에 대한 기록과 실증에 관심을 두고 있다. 양자가 학습경험에서 나타나는 실천의 특성에 대한 이해를 가시화시키는 데 서로 관심을 같이한다는 점에 주목하여 이 연구에서는 이들을 동시에 활용하고자 하였다. 악기 연주와 같은 암묵지의 학습경험은 학습자 참여를 통한 경험의 확장과 그에 대한 성찰 과정이라는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 나아가 교수자와 학습자의 공동 참여가 어떻게 학습맥락을 생성시키며 학습자의 체화 수준의 학습을 이끌어내는지, 즉 상황학습의 이해에 일조할 것으로 기대한다. This study started with interest in how to describe and analyze the actual learning experience of learners acquiring tacit knowledge such as how to play a musical instrument. The case in this study is a situation where a learner learns to play the flute, and it is a scene where they feel difficulties in expressing the playing method by changing according to the progress and mood of the song, and learn how to play during coaching and practice. In this study, from the perspective of ethno-methodologies (EM), we focus on the changes revealed during the interaction between learners and instruments, music scores, coaching and individual practice, and analyze dialogue and sound as microgenesis. EM tried to reinterpret learning experiences in terms of the temporal flow of practical actions, and micro generative analysis is interested in the record and demonstration of the interpretation of such interaction methods. Noting that both of them share interest in visualizing the understanding of the characteristics of practice appearing in the learning experience, this study tries to utilize them at the same time. It was confirmed that the learning experience of tacit knowledge, such as playing a musical instrument, is a process of expansion and reflection on the experience through learner participation. Furthermore, it is expected that the joint participation of the instructor and the learner will contribute to the understanding of situated learning, in other words, how to create a learning context and lead to the learner's embodied level learning.
