학교부적응 학생의 특별교육 프로그램에 관한 실행연구: 산악활동을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교부적응을 겪고 있는 잠재적 위기학생들을 위한 단위학교 내 적절한 특별교육 프로그램을 개발하고 적용해 봄으로써 학교현장을 개선하고자 하는 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 실행연구를 통해 진행되었으며 자료는 비구조화된 면담을 통해 수집하였고, 반복적 분석법을 사용하여 자료를 분석하고 해석하였다. 학교부적응 학생을 대상으로 산악활동이 주가 되는 특별교육 프로그램을 2년간 운영하면서 아래와 같은 연구 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 산악활동에 수반되는 자연친화적인 특별교육 프로그램은 학교부적응 학생들의 행동을 수정하고 자아를 성찰하는데 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 산악활동은 학교부적응 학생에게 자신의 새로운 모습 발견, 도전정신과 인내심 함양, 성취감 등의 경험을 제공하여 인성발달 측면에 도움이 되었다. 특히 자신을 되돌아보는 성찰활동, 상담활동, 스트레스 해소활동 그리고 사제동행으로 이루어지는 봉사활동과 산악활동 내용이 포함되었을 때 참가학생들의 변화모습이 관찰되었다. 셋째, 실행연구를 통해서 교육자들이 학교부적응 학생 및 특별교육을 바라보는 관점의 변화를 경험하였다. 특별교육 프로그램을 통해 학교부적응 학생을 단순한 징계의 대상이 아니라 그들의 문제행동 원인을 깊이 있게 관찰하여 근본적인 변화가 필요한 아이들이라고 생각하게 되었고, 이러한 학생들을 지도하고 도와주는 조력자가 되어야한다는 교육 철학의 변화를 갖게 되었다. The purpose of this study is to improve the school site by developing and applying appropriate special education program in the school for students with potential crisis who are experiencing school maladjustment. This study was conducted through action research. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, and data were analyzed and analyzed using iterative methods. Operating special education program focusing on mountain activities for school maladjusted students for two years, the researcher obtained the following study results. First, nature-friendly special education program accompanied by mountain activity has a positive effect on behavioral modification and introspection for maladjusted students. Second, change in the process of participating students were observed in introspective activity, counseling activity, stress relief activities, teacher-student program, voluntary activity, and mountain activity, which were included in the special education program within unit schools for school maladjusted students. Third, through action research, educational principal experienced changes in the viewpoint of maladjusted students and special education. Through the special education program, we have changed the educational philosophy that the maladjusted students are not merely subject to discipline but deeply observe their cause of problem behavior and think that it is the children who need fundamental change and should be helped and guided.
