국문 초록

이 연구는 학부모운동단체에서 활동하는 참여자들의 갈등과 대응방식을 드러내는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이 연구는 우리나라의 대표적 학부모운동단체인 누리학부모회를 사례로 하여 문화기술적 방법으로 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료를 토대로 학부모운동단체에서 활동하는 참여자들이 겪는 게인 갈등을 '학교 지향'과 '교육 지향'칸의 갈등으로 분석해 보았다. 자녀를 교육적으로 키워보겠다는 참여자들의 신념은 사회구조적 조건으로 인하여 제약을 받게 되는데, 이런상황에서 참여자들이 취하는 갈둥 대응방식이 '비판적 수용'이다. 그러나 참여자들은 현실의 모순을 간파하고 비판적으로 수용하여 학원을 보내지만 자녀들에게 문화 체험 활동의 기회를 마련하고자 한다, 이러한 대응방식이 '대안적 선택' 전략이다 이 연구를 통해, 학부모운동 참여자들은 지배적인 기존 관행을 거부하고 자녀를 교육다운 교육을 할 수 있는 방식을 모색하는 존재라는 것을 알 수 있다. 참여자들은 기존 자녀 교육 관행과 교육현실에 적웅하고 무조건 수용하기 보다 그에 대해 문제제기하고 다른 방도를 모색한다 이런 과정에서 갈등이 일어나는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이 연구는 학부모운동에 참여하는 학부모를 왜곡된 교육열의 주도세력 또는 왜곡된 교육현실의 희생자로 보는 관점에서 벗어나 주체적인 존재로 볼 수 있게 한다. This study aims to reveal conflicts in which participants take part in parent movement. And this study aims to investigate strategies that they cope with those. To achieve these aims, with a case of 'Nurihakbumohoe’(Nuri parent association) that was inaugurated in 1989, I performed ethnographic participation observation and Interview as a research method‘ They undergo conflicts in practicing parent movement. I anaIysed the personal conflict between "the orientation to credentials" and "the orientation to the education", This conflict comes about in the context of the credential society which puts heavy pressure on participants. Under these conditions, they receive the reality and they allow their children to attend the private academy. But they penetrate the inconsistency of the credential society, Also, they would choose diverse cultural experiences rather than let their children take excessive lessons. This can be called "the alternative choice", which means supplementing or substituting schooling. From the result of this study, 1 can see that they reject the dominant practice of ordinary parents and search for a reformati ve way to a better education. The fact they conflict in the course of posing problems and investigating another way to educate, means that they do not adapt passively to a given situation but reflect persistently.
