국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 사회활동과 우울 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 이러한 관계에서 인지기능의 매개 효과 규명을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법은 한국고용정보원 고령화연구패널 (KLoSA) 8차(2020년) 조사에서 서울지역 65세 이상 노인 451명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 22.0버전으로 연구가설을 검증한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 사회활동은 우울에 유의한 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인의 사회활동은 인지기능에 우울에 유의한 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인의 인지기능은 우울에 유의한 부적 영향을 미치며, 넷째, 노인의 사회활동과 우울의 관계에서 인지기능은 유의한 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 하여 노인 우울 감소를 위한 사회활동과 인지기능 향상을 위한 실천방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between social activities and depression in the elderly. And it's to investigate the mediating effect of cognitive function. The subjects of the study were 451 elderly people aged 65 or older in Seoul in the 8th (2020) survey of the Korea Employment Information Service's Aging Research Panel (KLoSA). The results of verifying the research hypothesis with SPSS version 22.0 for data analysis are as follows. First, it was found that the social activities of the elderly had a significant negative effect on depression. Second, it was found that the social activities of the elderly had a significant negative effect on depression on cognitive function. Third, the cognitive function of the elderly has a significant negative effect on depression, Fourth, it was found that cognitive function played a significant mediating effect in the relationship between social activities and depression of the elderly. Based on the results of this study, practical plans were presented to improve social activities and cognitive functions to reduce depression in the elderly.
