국문 초록

연구의 목적은 특수교육 교사들을 대상으로 다문화 교육 역량에 대한 인식에 대해 알아보고 이러한 다문화 교육 역량 인식이 교사의 다문화 교육 실천에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 알아보는데 있다. 연구대상은 특수학교에 근무하고 있는 교사 350명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 교사의 다문화 교육 역량에 대한 인식은 다문화 교육 실천과 정적인 상관관계가 있으며, 다문화 교육 하위 역량 중에서 다문화에 대한 인식이나 태도, 다문화 관련지식, 다문화 교육기술 순으로 다문화 교육실천에 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 교사의 다문화 연수경험, 교육경력, 학력, 다문화 학생 지도 경험이 교사의 다문화 교육 역량 인식수준에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서 특수교육 교사들의 다문화 교육 역량을 높이기 위해서 자율적인 장학협의체, 특수학교 사정에 맞는 연수프로그램, 대학과 대학원에서의 교과목 개설 등이 필요하다. 이 연구는 다문화 교육의 실천가인 특수교육 교사들의 다문화 교육 역량을 높이기 위한 방안을 강구해야 한다는 점을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록
