국문 초록

본 연구는 종교성향과 용서와의 관계에서 자기자비의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 종교성향에는 내재적 성향과 외재적 성향이 있는데 이 둘을 따로 분리하여 용서와의 관계, 자기자비의 매개효과를 각각 검증하여 비교하였다. 이를 위해 서울과 경기도에 거주하는 20세 이상 90세 미만의 천주교, 개신교, 불교 신도들 총 395명을 대상으로 설문하고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0에 사용하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 이에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기자비는 내재적 성향과 용서를 완전매개하였다. 이를 통하여 내재적/외재적 성향과 용서와의 관계에서 자기자비가 중요한 역할을 하고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 자기자비는 외재적 성향과 용서를 부분매개하였다. 외재적 성향은 용서와 자기자비에 부적인 영향을 끼치지만 자기자비의 매개효과를 통하여 용서에 정적인 영향력을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 자기자비의 매개효과가 있음에도 불구하고 외재적 성향이 용서에 끼치는 부정적인 영향력이 완전히 없어지는 것은 아니었다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the mediating effect of self–compassion on the relationship between religious orientation and forgiveness. Religious orientation has two sub–factors such as intrinsic orientation and extrinsic orientation. These two sub–factors were separately functioned as independent variables. Thus, in this study, the mediating effect of self–compassion between intrinsic orientation and forgiveness was investigated. Also, the mediating effect of self compassion between extrinsic orientation and forgiveness was explored. 395 people including Catholics, Protestants, and Buddhists were given the three different questionnaires. It was statstically operated through SPSS 20.0 As a result of the study, self–compassion fully mediated between intrinsic orientation and forgiveness. In addition, self–compassion partially mediated between extrinsic orientation and forgiveness. Extrinsic orientation had a negative influence both on self–compassion and on forgiveness. As self–compassion mediated, forgiveness increased on the significant level. The negative influence, which extrinsic orientation had on forgiveness, was still significant although it could not surpass the positive influence of self–compassion on forgiveness.
