회복탄력성에 대한 기독상담적 고찰

국문 초록

회복탄력성(resilience)에 대한 연구가 심리·상담분야 등 다양한 영역에서 활발하게 진행되고 있는 반면, 기독상담 분야에서 회복탄력성이라는 용어나 척도를 사용한 연구는 시작 단계이며 심리·상담분야의 개념이나 척도를 그대로 적용하여 사용하고 있다. 기독상담 분야에서 회복탄력성이라는 용어를 사용하지 않았지만 인간이 위기나 어려움에 처했을 때 어떻게 견디고, 회복하고, 성장하는지에 대한 연구들은 지속적으로 있어 왔으며, 따라서 본 연구는 회복탄력성이라는 개념을 기독상담적 관점에서 조명하고자 한다. 이는 회복탄력성에 대한 해석학적 시도이자 신학적 고찰로서, 심리학적 관점과 기독상담적 관점을 상호비평적 상관관계(mutually critical correlation)에서 논의하고자 한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 회복탄력성이라는 개념을 중요시하는 긍정심리학과 관계문화이론을 소개하고, 이들의 공통점을 제시하며, 회복탄력성의 주요 요소들을 개관한다. 둘째, 회복탄력성의 개념과 주요 요소들을 기독상담 관점의 인간이해와 평가방법을 제안하는 Clinebell과 Fitchett의 관점에서 재조명한다. 마지막으로 기독상담 분야에서의 회복탄력성에 대한 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 한다.

영문 초록

The studies on resilience in the field of christian counseling are considered in the beginning stage by simply applying the term and scale used in the psychological area which these have been actively researched. However, without the term or its quotient, the studies on how people have endured, recovered, or grown in dealing with crisis or adversities have continuously existed in the area of christian counseling, and for this reason, this study reflects on the concept of resilience from the perspective of christian counseling. As an attempt of hermeneutical and theological reflection, this study tries to present a mutually critical correlation which brings into conversation or integration of psychological perspectives and christian counseling perspectives. For this purpose, this study, first, discusses positive psychology and relational–cultural theory which are the theories emphasizing resilience, presents their similar features, and lists the major factors of resilience. Second, the concepts and major factors of resilience are reflected and integrated, especially with the perspectives of Clinebell and Fitchett, who suggest to understand, assess, or diagnose human beings from the perspectives of christian counseling. Third, this study presents suggestions for future studies of christian counseling on resilience.
