통합고용 환경에서 정신지체 근로자에 대한 동료 근로자의 자연적 지원의 유형과 빈도 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 통합고용 환경에서 정신지체 근로자에게 제공될 수 있는 동료 근로자의 자연적 지원(natural supports)을 지원의 주요한 자원으로 강조하였으며, 동료 근로자가 정신지체 근로자에게 제공한 자연적 지원의 유형과 빈도를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 우리 나라의 정신지체 근로자의 통합고용 상황에서 동료 근로자가 제공한 자연적 지원을 체계적으로 조사한 처음의 연구로서 자연적 지원을 촉진하기 위한 지원고용 정책과 후속연구에 기초 자료를 제공하였다. 문헌 연구와 면담을 근거로 본 연구자들에 의해 제작된 설문지를 연구 도구로 사용하여 설문지 응답을 요인 분석하였으며, 수도권 지역(서울, 인천, 경기도)의 사업체 중에서 정신지체 근로자와 함께 근무하고 있는 동료 근로자 240명을 대상으로 자연적 지원 제공 현황을 조사하였다. 동료 근로자가 제공한 자연적 지원은 요인분석 결과 세 가지 요인으로 나타났으며, 각각 (1)개인적 지원 ; (2)직업적 지원 ; (3)사회적 지원으로 명명하였다. 동료 근로자가 제공한 각각의 지원의 빈도 우선순위는 직업적 지원, 사회적 지원, 개인적 지원의 순으로 나타났다. 지원 빈도는 동료 근로자의 재직기간, 업종, 직무부서와 직무 유형에 따라 영역별, 문항별로, 또한 정신지체 근로자의 장애 정도와 재직기간에 따라 문항별로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 끝으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the nature of natural supports in inclusive workplaces by means of analyzing the types and frequency of natural supports provided by co-workers for workers with mental retardation. Reponses of the survey developed by the researchers were collected from 240 co-workers in firms that across in Seoul and capital zone(including Seoul. Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province). The results of study are following. (1)There were three factors of natural supports provided by co-workers; personal care supports. job/task supports. and social supports, The rank of frequency of each sub-category of natural supports was followed; job/task supports. social supports. and personal care supports respectively. (2)The frequency of support provision by co-workers was significantly different according to the length of work-term in job/task supports and social supports sub-categories ; The longer work term. the more supports. In term of the support frequency related to the co-worker s work department and the types of job task. the more job/task supports were provided to workers with mental retardation when they were in the same department with co-workers and the types of job task are same. Interestingly enough. the people who work in the manufacturing industry provide more supports in personal care supports. job/task supports. and social support than food industry. (3)As far as the frequency of natural supports concerns according to the level of mental retardation and the work-term of workers with mental retardation. the significant differences exist in between sub-categories. but not within a category. The milder the level of mental retardation and the longer work term of workers with mental retardation. the more supports. Finally. limitations of this study and suggestions for future studies are suggested.
