국문 초록

한반도 평화과정에 영향을 미치는 분단관련 국가들 간의 관계는 매우 중요하다는 점에서 국가 간 우호주의에 기반한 평화교육으로서 국제이해교육은 한반도 평화통일교육과 그 맥락을 같이 하기 때문에, 한반도 분단극복 평화교육으로서 통일교육은 국제이해교육의 관점과 방향을 조율하여 재구성하여야 한다. 한반도 분단은 냉전체제의 지정학적 피해로 귀결된 것으로써 이후 체제대립의 국면에서 통일은 민족지상과제로 대두되면서 통일교육 역시 통일의식 함양을 위한 이데올로기 교과로 이용되었다. 통일안보교육에서, 통일교육으로 평화통일교육으로 진전되어온 역사적 소용돌이에서 현 단계 평화․통일교육은 국제이해교육의 과제와 일치한다. 따라서 한반도적 특수성이 반영된 인간안보적 시각, 상호의존성 강조, 인권교육적 접근, 탈식민주의적 논의, 포용적 평생학습체계를 지향하는 평화․통일교육 틀로 국제이해교육의 맥락에서 재개념화되어 실천되어야 한다.

영문 초록

In terms of the fact that the relationship among the connected countries to the national division is critical to the peace process in the Korean Peninsula, education for international understanding(EIU), cooperation and peace, and education relating to human rights has common ground with the context of unification education. Thus Peaceful unification education beyond division of the Korean Peninsula should be reconstructed according to the perspective and orientation of education for international understanding. National division in the Korean peninsula was resulted as a victimized zone during the cold war, and the after the unification has been regarded the national priority to be achieved, and education for unification has been stressed as an ideological state curriculum to raise the aspiration for unification. Putting the foot-paintings from unification security education to peaceful unification education, current peace-unification education and education for international understanding both comprise the educational orientations such as human security perspective, interdependence based, human rights approach, de-colonization discourse and inclusive lifelong learning. This reconceptualized model of peace-unification education seems to be developed as a universal peace education, specialized in the Korean peninsula.
