부모관여와 부모지원이 대학생의 학교적응에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국교육개발원의 한국교육종단연구(KELS) 8차년도 데이터를 사용하여 부모관 여와 부모지원이 대학생의 학교적응에 미치는 영향을 탐색하였다. 성인기 발달단계에 있는 대학생 자녀에 대한 부모관여와 부모지원 중 어떤 요인이 대학적응에 더 결정적인 요인인지 확인하는 것에 초점을 두며, 더 나아가 대학이 고등교육을 목적으로 하는 교육기관이라는 측면에서 교수활동과 학습활동이 매개요인으로 포함되었다. 분석대상은 KELS 8차년도 응답 자 중 대학재학 중인 학생 2,173명을 표본으로 선정하였으며, 분석요인은 부모관여(일상생활, 학업활동), 부모지원(학업진로, 심리사회), 교수활동(인지적, 비인지적), 학습활동(학습태도, 주 도적학습) 그리고 대학적응(학업적응, 비학업적응)이다. 분석방법은 선정한 요인 간의 인과관 계 확인을 위해 LISREL 프로그램을 사용하여 구조방정식모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 부모관여는 대학생의 교수 및 학습활동 인식 그리고 대학적응에 유의한 영향 을 나타내지 못하며, 부모지원은 전체 경로에 직접 또는 매개적인 효과를 나타내고 있다. 이 연구 결과는 성인기 발달단계에 있는 대학생의 학교적응에 대한 부모의 역할을 탐색할 수 있는 정보가 될 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

This study examines the effects of parental involvement and support on school adjustment of college students using the 8th data of Korea Education Longitudinal Study(KELS). It set the basic assumption that parental involvement and support have causal relationship in school adjustment of college students. The study is conducted the effects of school adjustment to parental involvement and support and the mediated effects of teaching performance and learning performance. The subject of analysis are college 2,173 students. Measurement variables are parental involvement(daily life, academic activity), parental support(academic and career, psycho-social), teaching performance(cognitive, non-cognitive), learning performance(learning attitude, self-directed learning) and school adjustment(academic, nonacademic). This study is conducted Structural Equation Model by using SPSS and LISREL program. The results of analysis show that parental involvement on teaching-learning performance and school adjustment have not significant effects. but parental support have the positive significant effects. It is considered that these research results confirmed the effects of causal relationship of parental support on school adjustment and will be available as information for investigation role of parents in college students.
