유아음악 강사들의 갈등경험에 대한 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아음악 강사들이 경험하는 음악교육 현장에서의 다양한 갈등경험을 탐색하여 본 연구로 기초 설문조사후 갈등경험을 토로한 유아음악 강사 5인과의 심층면접을 통하여 나타난 결과를 질적으로 분석, 연구하였다. 유아음악 강사들은 교육기관 및 교사, 학부모와의 갈등, 유아들과의 갈등, 현직 강사 파견업체 및 동료들과의 갈등, 그리고 자신의 직무수행을 위한 현실적 어려움들로 인해 갈등을 느끼고 있었다. 그렇지만 이러한 갈등경험이 반복될 수밖에 없는 교육현장의 현실과 더불어 급변하는 국가정책 및 사회적, 구조적 문제들로 인해 반복되는 좌절을 속으로만 삭이는데 급급한 모습을 보였다. 본 연구를 통해 알 수 있는 점은 근본적으로 유아음악 강사의 역할을 이해하는 교육기관 및 부모와 사회의 관심이 필요하고 아울러 유아음악 강사들이 가지고 있는 갈등의 요소들을 이해해주고 이를 바탕으로 유아음악 강사들이 음악교육 현장에서 자신들의 역량을 최대한 발휘해 나갈 수 있도록 하는 사회적 장치를 마련해 주는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the various conflict experiences of early childhood music instructors in music educational settings. After a basic survey was conducted, five early childhood music instructors who confessed their conflict experiences were interviewed in depth, and a qualitative analysis was made after the data were gathered. The early childhood music instructors were in conflict with the educational institutions where they worked, and they were also in conflict with the teachers, parents, preschoolers, their companies, colleagues and changing national systems. In addition, they suffered conflicts when they faced difficulties during job performance. Actually, they were bound to have repeated conflict experiences, but they just tried to suppress their conflicts, though they continued to get frustrated because of the reality of education, fast-changing national policies, and social, structural problems. The findings of the study suggest that educational institutions, parents and society should try to understand early childhood music instructors and their conflicts with interest, and the kind of society that helps them to show what they can do should be created.
