장애인의 사회관계가 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향 - 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애인의 사회관계(SNS자기효능감, 사회활동참여)가 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는데 자아존중감의 매개효과를 검증하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 장애인삶 4차년도(2021) 패널데이터를 2차 자료로 활용하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 장애인의 사회관계(SNS자기효능감, 사회활동참여)는 자아존중감에 유의한 정(+)적인 상관관계를 가졌고, 삶의 만족도에도 통계적으로 유의한 정(+)적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애인의 사회관계(SNS자기효능감, 사회활동참여)가 삶의 만족도 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 Baron과 Kenny(1986)의 인과 단계적 접근(causal step strategy) 분석을 실시한 결과, 독립변수인 SNS자기효능감(β=.186, p<.001)과 사회활동참여(β=.153, p<.001)가 매개변수인 자아존중감에 통계적으로 유의한 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, SNS자기효능감(β=.165, p<.001)과 사회활동참여(β=.214, p<.001)가 종속변수인 삶의 만족도에 통계적으로 유의한 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애인의 일반적 특성, 장애특성들을 통제한 상태에서 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 자아존중감은 사회관계 특성인 SNS자기효능감과 사회활동참여와 삶의 만족도 간 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 장애인의 사회관계를 온-오프라인 요인을 통합적으로 반영하여 장애인의 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도 향상을 위한 실천적, 정책적 방안을 제시하였다는 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study is to verify the mediating effect of self-esteem in the social relationship (SNS self-efficacy, participation in social activities) of the disabled affecting life satisfaction. To this end, panel data for the 4th year of life for the disabled (2021) were used as secondary data. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the social relationship (SNS self-efficacy, participation in social activities) of the disabled had a significant positive (+) correlation with self-esteem, and there was a statistically significant positive (+) correlation with life satisfaction. Second, as a result of conducting a causal step strategy analysis of Baron & Kenny (1986) to find out the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship of life satisfaction in the social relationship of the disabled (SNS self-efficacy, participation in social activities (β=.186, p<.001) and independent variables such as SNS self-efficacy (β=.153, p<.001) had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on self-esteem as a parameter, and SNS self-efficacy (β=.165, p<.001) and social activity participation (β=.214, p<.001) had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on life satisfaction as dependent variables. Third, as a result of multiple regression analysis while controlling the general characteristics and disability characteristics of the disabled, it was found that self-esteem mediates the relationship between SNS self-efficacy, which is a social relationship characteristic, participation in social activities, and life satisfaction. This study is meaningful in that practical and policy measures were presented to improve the self-esteem and life satisfaction of the disabled by integrating online and offline factors in the social relationship of the disabled.
