국문 초록

본 연구는 법률에 특화된 대규모 언어모델(LLM)의 국내외 활용 현황과 연구 동향을 살펴보고, 특히 환각 (hallucination)과 정보보안 리스크를 중심으로 현황과 과제를 분석하였다. 해외에서는 대형 로펌과 글로벌 리걸테크 기업을 중심으로 법률 문서작성, 계약서 검토, 판례 검색 및 분석 등 다양한 영역에서 LLM이 이미 실무에 도입되었 으며, 효율성과 정확성 면에서 효과가 있다고 보고되고 있다. 반면에 국내에서는 리걸테크 산업이 빠르게 발전하고 있음에도 불구하고 데이터 접근성 부족, 규제 장벽, 법조계의 보수적 특성 등으로 본격적 상용화가 느려지고 있는게 현실이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 기존 선행연구를 취합 정리하여 환각과 보안 문제를 동시에 분석하고, 기술적·제도적· 사회적 대응 전략과 그 향후 방향성을 제시하였다. 연구 결과, RAG와 파인튜닝 등 최신 기법을 도입해야 하며, 법률 AI 활용에 대한 기준 마련 및 책임 구조를 명확히 규정하고, 기존 법조계의 인식 제고와 윤리 가이드라인 마련이꼭 필요하다는 결론을 내릴 수 있었다. 결과론적으로 법률 LLM의 진정한 가치는 기술적 개선, 제도적 보완, 사회적 수용성 확대가 유기적으로 결합될 때 대중화가 될 수 있음을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Focusing on hallucination and information security risks, this study examines the current status and research trends of largelanguagemodels(LLMs) specialized for law. LLMs have already been introduced into practice worldwide across various domains—including contract review, case law search, and document drafting—primarily by large law firms and global legal information companies, with reported improvements in efficiency and accuracy. However, despite the growth of the Korean legal tech industry, full-scale commercialization in Korea has been delayed due to factors such as limited data accessibility, regulatory barriers, and the conservative nature of the legal profession. We analyze key hallucination and security issues by synthesizing and organizing existing literature, and propose technical, institutional, and societal response directions. The adoption of cutting-edge techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation and fine-tuning, establishing standards and accountability frameworks for legal AI use, enhancing legal community awareness, and developing ethical guidelines are confirmed as essential in the areas of Korean legal tech. In summary, the true value of legal LLMs can only be realized when technological improvements, institutional enhancements, and expanded social acceptance are organically integrated.
