초등학교 2007~2022 개정 실과교육과정의교양농업교육 내용 비교 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 2007~2022 개정 실과교육과정의 교양농업교육 내용을 분석하여 문제 및 구성 방안을 모색하기 위한 것으로서 문헌 연구와 교육과정 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 각 개정 실과교육과정의 교양농업교육 내용은 선행 연구를 토대로 9개의 내용 영역으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 초등학교 각 개정 실과교육과정의 교양농업교육 내용은 ‘우리 생활과 농업’, ‘식물 생산’, ‘동물 생산’ 영역의 내용이 지속적으로 포함되어 있었고, ‘농업의 이해’, ‘농업의 과학화’, ‘농업과 진로’ 영역의 내용은 부분적으로 포함되어 있었으며, ‘농업 정책’ 영역에 대한 내용은 전혀 포함되어 있지 않았다. 따라서 현재까지 전혀 포함되어 있지 않은 ‘농업 정책’ 영역에 대한 내용은 초등학교 학생의 수준에 맞게 적정화하여 구성하고, ‘농업의 이해’ 영역의 내용은 초등학교 학생들이 농업을 올바르게 이해할 수 있도록 확대하며, ‘농업과 진로’ 영역도 강조하여 농업 직업과 연계되도록 내용을 구성할 필요가 있다. 또한, 초등학교 개정 실과교육과정의 ‘기술의 세계’ 영역에 기술의 하위 요소로 교양농업교육 내용을 포함시켜 개정 실과교육과정기마다 지속적으로 문제가 나타나고 있으므로 개정 실과교육과정에 농업 영역을 추가로 신설하여 교양농업교육 내용을 체계화하여 다양하게 구성할 필요가 있다. 초등학교 교양농업교육은 농업의 인식을 궁극적인 목적으로 하고 있으므로 교양농업교육의 목표를 구현하기 위한 내용 구성은 초등학교 학생의 흥미와 수준에 적합하도록 하고, 교육 내용의 조직 원리를 반영하여 농업의 인식 증진에 적합하게 다양한 내용을 구성하는 것이 매우 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study examined the content of general agricultural education within the revised elementary school practical arts curriculum (2007-2022) to identify problems and propose solutions. A literature review and curriculum content analysis were conducted. Based on prior research, the general agricultural education content in the revised curriculum was divided into nine specific areas and analyzed. Overall, the revised elementary school practical arts curriculum consistently encompassed the areas of “Our Life and Agriculture,” “Plant Production,” and “Animal Production” in its general agricultural education content. The areas of “Understanding Agriculture,” “Scientification of Agriculture,” and “Agriculture and Career Paths” were also partially included. However, “Agricultural Policy” was entirely omitted. As a result, “Agricultural Policy” content should be incorporated and tailored to the level of elementary school students. The “Understanding Agriculture” section should be expanded to provide elementary school students with a comprehensive understanding of agriculture. The “Agriculture and Career Paths” section should also be emphasized to ensure connections between agricultural careers. Moreover, concerns have been consistently raised concerning the inclusion of general agricultural education as a sub-element of technology within the “World of Technology” section of the revised elementary school practical arts curriculum. To address these, it is necessary to add an agriculture section to the revised curriculum, providing a more systematic and diverse approach to general agricultural education. The primary objective of general agricultural education in elementary school is to cultivate awareness of agriculture. Consequently, to be effective, the content should be designed to align with the interests and the development level of students. Furthermore, it is crucial to incorporate a wide range of content that reflects the organizational principles of the curriculum and promotes knowledge of and interest in agriculture.
