국문 초록

자폐스펙트럼장애 유아는 사회적 관계 형성에 어려움을 겪으며, 특히 또래와의 상호작용에서 큰 어려움을 보인다. 본 연구는 1) 주양육자와 교사가 평가한 유아의 또래 상호작용의 일치도 및 차이를 분석하고, 2) 이들의 보고와 임상가의 관찰 기반 평가 간의 연관성을 탐색하였다. 연구 참여자는 미국 뉴욕 주의 Center for Autism and the Developing Brain의 주변 도시 및 교외 지역 사회에서 모집된 자폐 유아 및 비장애 유아 총 44명(유치원 시작 시점)과 자폐 유아 35명(유치원 종료 시점)이었다. 표준화된 도구인 또래 놀이 상호작용 척도(PIPPS)와 자폐 진단 관찰 스케줄(ADOS-2)을 활용하여 유아의 사회적 상호작용을 측정하였다. 분석 결과, 부모와 교사의 평가 간에는 낮거나 중간 정도의 상관이 나타났으며, 주양육자는 교사보다 또래 문제를 상대적으로 심각하게, 또래 상호작용은 더 긍정적으로 평가하는 경향을 보였다. 교사와 임상가 평가 간에는 유의한 상관이 나타났으나, 주양육자와 임상가 평가 간에는 유의한 결과가 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 자폐 유아의 또래 상호작용 기술을 정확히 이해하고 지원하기 위해 다양한 정보제공자의 보고와 관점을 종합적으로 고려해야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The present study examined the perceptions of caregivers, teachers, and clinicians in evaluating peer interactions among kindergarten children with autism spectrum disorder. Participants included autistic and neurotypical children at kindergarten entry (N = 44) and autistic children at kindergarten exit (N = 35). The Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (PIPPS) was used to assess peer interactions. The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) was used for clinical evaluations. The results revealed that caregivers reported more peer play difficulties and more positive peer interactions than teachers. At kindergarten exit, clinician ratings correlated with teachers’ reports, but not with caregivers’ reports. Taken together, multi-informant assessments are crucial, as each group provides distinct yet complementary perspectives on children’s social functioning.
