국문 초록

최근 우리 사회는 저출산과 고령화의 동시적 진행에 따라 본격적인 인구감소 국면에 진입하였으며, 이에 대한 대응 논의가 정책적ㆍ학문적으로 활발히 전개되고 있다. 본 연구는 텍스트마이닝 기법을 활용하여, 2019년 11월부터 2024년 12월까지 발표된 국내 인구감소 및 대응 관련 학술논문을 계량적으로 분석함으로써, 연구 동향의 구조적 특성과 핵심 주제를 도출하고자 하였다. 분석대상은 총 116편의 논문이며, 단어 출현 빈도, 문헌 간 중요도, 다차원 척도법 등을 적용하였다. 분석결과, ‘지역’, ‘도시’, ‘정책’, ‘청년’, ‘경제’ 등의 키워드가 중심성과 성숙도 측면 모두에서 핵심 주제로 확인되었으며, 연구주제는 고령화, 지방소멸, 주거, 외국인 유입, 복지서비스 등 다양한 분야로 확산되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 인구감소대응이 단순한 인구 변수에 국한되지 않고, 공간ㆍ경제ㆍ사회 정책 전반과 복합적으로 연계된 다차원적 이슈임을 실증적으로 보여준다. 본 연구는 인구감소 담론의 계량적 구조 분석을 통해 향후 정책설계 및 학술연구의 방향 설정에 기초자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

Recently, our society has entered a phase of significant population decline due to the simultaneous progression of low birth rates and aging, and discussions on how to respond to this issue are actively taking place at both the policy and academic levels. This study utilized text mining techniques to quantitatively analyze academic papers related to population decline and responses published in Korea from November 2019 to December 2024, aiming to derive the structural characteristics and core themes of research trends. The analysis included a total of 116 papers, applying methods such as word frequency, inter-document importance, and multidimensional scaling. The analysis revealed that keywords such as “region,” “city” “policy,” “youth,” and “economy” emerged as core themes in terms of both centrality and maturity. Research topics were found to be expanding into diverse fields such as aging, regional decline, housing, foreign immigration, and welfare services. These results empirically demonstrate that responses to population decline are not limited to simple population variables but are multidimensional issues complexly linked to spatial, economic, and social policies. This study is significant in that it provides foundational data for future policy design and academic research direction through a quantitative structural analysis of population decline discourse.
