국문 초록

린 스타트업은 빠른 실험과 실시간 고객 피드백을 반영함으로써 불확실성을 극복하고 시장 적합성을 높일 수 있는 창업기업의 핵심 전략으로 고려되고 있다. 그러나 일부 연구에서는 린 스타트업이 검증할 수 있는 가설에만 집중함으로써 혁신과 사업화의 본질적 문제를 해결하는 데 한계가 있음을 지적하기도 한다. 본 연구는 린 스타트업에 영향을 미친 기존 기업가정신 이론의 비교 및 통합 가능성을 고찰하고, 연대기적 관점에서 린 스타트업 연구 동향을 (1) 탐색과 실행이론의 관점, (2) 방법론 및 연계개념의 반영, (3) 분석과 실험을 통한 린 스타트업의 유용성 검증, (4) 린 스타트업의 효과성과 구체적 사례의 측면에서 논의하였다. 또한, 린 스타트업의 성과를 극대화하기 위해 창의적 문제해결 능력, 빠른 실험 및 피드백을 통한 업무조율의 중요성을 강조한다. 즉, 린 스타트업은 기존 기업가정신 이론을 대체하기보다는 이를 보완하는 전략적 접근법으로, 창업자가 비즈니스 모델의 불확실성을 극복하고 실행 가능한 모델로 발전시키는 과정에 중요한 역할을 수행한다.

영문 초록

The Lean Startup methodology has emerged as a key strategy for startups to address uncertainty and improve market fit through rapid experimentation and iterative feedback. Critics argue that its focus on verifiable hypotheses may limit its ability to address deeper issues related to innovation and commercialization. However, our study aims to contribute to the existing literature by examining the comparative and integrative potential of Lean Startup within established entrepreneurship theories. The evolution of the methodology is explored through four phases: (1) theory validation in exploration and execution, (2) integration of theoretical frameworks, (3) empirical verification of Lean Startup’s utility, and (4) assessment of its effectiveness through case studies. The research highlights the importance of agile learning, creative problem-solving, and rapid experimentation in optimizing Lean Startup's impact. Rather than replacing established theories, we argue that Lean Startup acts as a complementary framework, aiding entrepreneurs in navigating uncertainty and refining their business models into actionable ventures.
