국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 아동 문학 『복희탕의 비밀』에 나타난 중국 신화서 『산해경』의 신화적 이미지 수용 양상을 살펴보고, 작가가 이를 통해 궁극적으로 그리고자 한 장애 형상이 무엇인지 고찰하는 것이다. 『복희탕의 비밀』은 신체장애인을 반인반어의 몸을 지닌 인어로 형상화하고 차별과 배제의 환경을 물기가 없는 메마른 가뭄과 물이 갇혀있는 욕조, 수영장으로 형상화한다. 또한 차별이 없는 조화로운 세계, 새로운 시공간의 생성 과정을 물, 홍수, 바다라는 공간과 달이라는 시간으로 형상화한다. 『복희탕의 비밀』은 『산해경』에서 다른 몸과의 공존과 합일을 그려나갔던 고대인들의 소망을 재현하려 한다. 그러나 결정적으로 신화라는 환상의 자리에 정상성을 가진 몸을 들어앉힘으로써 우리 무의식에 내재된 강렬한 정상성에의 열망을 거울처럼 비춘다.

영문 초록

his study examines the acceptance of mythological images from the Chinese myth book, 『山海經』, in the children's literature, 『The Secret of Bok-hee Bathhouse』, and considers the image of disability that was ultimately intended to be depicted through transformation. 『The Secret of Bok-hee Bathhouse』 depicts physically disabled people as mermaids with half-human, half-fish bodies, and depicts discrimination and exclusion as a dry drought and a bathtub and swimming pool with water trapped in them. In addition, the process of creating a harmonious world without discrimination and new space and time is symbolized through the space of water, flood, and sea and the time of the moon. 『The Secret of Bok-hee Bathhouse』 attempts to reproduce the wishes of ancient people who portrayed the coexistence and unity of different bodies in 『山海經』. However, crucially, by placing the body of normality in the place of fantasy called myth, it reflects like a mirror the intense desire for normality inherent in our unconscious.
