노인의 주관적 건강상태와 웰에이징 특성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 노인의 웰에이징 교육에 관한 기본 인식을 알아보고 주관적 건강상태와 신체적, 정신적, 사회․경제적 측면에서의 웰에이징 특성과의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 노년층을 위한 웰에이징 교육 모델의 기초자료를 확보하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 서울, 인천, 경기 지역의 만 65세 이상 노인 880명을 대상으로 구조화된 질문지를 사용하여 면담조사를 실시하였고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0을 사용하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 응답자의 51.8%는 전반적 건강상태가 ‘좋은 편’이라고 응답하였고 건강상태가 ‘좋은 편’일수록 웰에이징 교육이 필요하다는 응답 비율이 높았다. 그러나 응답자 특성에 상관없이 98% 이상은 웰에이징 교육에 대한 경험이 없는 것으로 나타나 노년층에 대한 웰에이징 교육 프로그램 개발 및 사회적 확산이 시급한 것으로 분석되었다. 정신적 특성으로는 사교적/원기왕성/변화 수용 정도, 긍정적 가치관/ 실패 극복/ 본인의 삶통제 정도, 삶의 기본적 욕구 충족 정도와 일상생활 스트레스 정도, 스트레스 받는 원인, 본인에 대한 만족도, 평소 삶에 대한 만족도 등을 조사한 결과, 스트레스 받는 원인으로는 ‘경제 문제’가 33.5%로 가장 높은 비율을 보였으며, 다음으로 건강문제, 직장생활 순으로 나타났다. 기대수명이 늘어난 만큼 노인 일자리와 같은 노년층의 실질적인 경제 활동을 돕는 정책이 필요함을 시사한다. 행복한 노년을 위해 가장 중요한 요소로는 ‘건강’이 63.3%로 가장 높게 나타났으며 다음으로 ‘돈(20.0%)’, 가족 및 대인관계(8.5%)‘ 등의 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과의 시사점은 노년층을 위한 웰에이징 교육 모델을 구축하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to secure basic data for a well-aging education model for the elderly by examining the well-aging characteristics in physical, mental, socio-economic aspects according to the perception of well-aging education and subjective health status of the elderly. For this study, interviews were conducted using structured questionnaires for 880 elderly people aged 65 years or older in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province, and statistical analysis was performed on the collected data using SPSS 22.0. As a result of the study, 51.8% of the respondents responded that their overall health condition was 'good', and the higher the 'good' health condition, the higher the response rate that well-aging education was needed. However, regardless of the characteristics of the respondents, more than 98% did not have experience in well-aging education, so it was analyzed that the development and social spread of well-aging education programs for the elderly are urgent. Mental characteristics include sociability/energeticity/acceptance of change, positive values/overcoming failure/control in one's life, satisfaction of basic needs in life and stress in daily life, causes of stress, satisfaction with oneself, life. As a result of the satisfaction survey, 'economic problems' showed the highest rate at 33.5% as the cause of stress, followed by health problems and work life. As life expectancy has increased, this implies the need for policies that help the elderly in practical economic activities, such as jobs for the elderly. As for the most important factor for a happy old age, 'health' was the highest at 63.3%, followed by 'money (20.0%)' and 'family and interpersonal relationships' (8.5%). It is expected that the implications of these research results can be used as basic data to build a well-aging education model for the elderly.
