부부의 가사노동과 자녀돌봄 분담의 유형화와 영향요인 : 분담 실태와 분담에 관한 공정성 인식을 중심으로

사회적 성평등 가치가 증가해도, 가정 내 성별 노동분업은 다양한 양상으로 나타나고 이는분담에 대한 공정성 인식에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 기혼 부부 622쌍(1,244명)을대상으로 가사노동과 자녀돌봄 분담 실태 및 공정성 인식을 중심으로 유형을 도출하고 이에영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 잠재계층분석(LCA) 결과, 부부의 분담 및 공정성 인식에따라 ‘불공정한 아내위주형(17.5%)’, ‘중간 공정성의 전통분담형(18.6%)’, ‘중간 공정성의 아내위주형(23.8%)’, ‘공정한 아내위주형(23.5%)’, ‘공정한 공평분담형(16.6%)’ 등 다섯 개의 유형이 도출되었다. 특히, 아내와 남편의 가사노동 분담 정도가 ‘아내위주형’으로 유사해도 부부간공정성 인식이 다른 점이 확인되었다. 분석 결과, 각자의 근로시간이 분담 유형을 결정하는주요 요인이었으며, 공정성 인식은 준거집단과의 비교가 주된 요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 가사노동과 자녀돌봄의 분배뿐만 아니라 공정성 인식을 조정하는 정책적 개입이필요함을 시사한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 임금근로자뿐만 아니라 비임금근로자까지 포괄하는육아기 근로시간 단축제 확대, 공정성 인식의 차이를 좁히기 위한 교육 및 사회적 논의의 중요성을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

Even as social gender equality values increase, gender division of labor between couples appears in various ways, which can affect the perception of fairness in division of labor. This study examines the division of household labor and childcare among 622 married couples (1,244 individuals) and analyzes their fairness perceptions. Using Latent Class Analysis (LCA), five distinct types were identified based on the division of labor and fairness perception: Low-Fairness Female-Dominant Type (17.5%), Moderate-Fairness Traditional Division Type (18.6%), Moderate-Fairness Female-Dominant Type (23.8%), High-Fairness Female-Dominant Type (23.5%), and High-Fairness Equal Division Type (16.6%). Notably, even when the actual division of labor was similar, fairness perceptions varied significantly. The analysis revealed that the most influential factor in determining division types was the working hours of husbands and wives, while fairness perceptions were shaped by comparisons with reference groups. These findings suggest that policy interventions should address not only the distribution of household and childcare responsibilities but also fairness perceptions. This study highlights the need to expand parental leave policies, including working-hour reduction programs that cover both wage earners and non-wage workers, as well as the importance of education and public discourse to bridge fairness perception gaps.
