한반도 남부지역 출토 청동기 주조용 송풍관 연구

국문 초록

한반도 일원에는 중국 중원과 초원지역에서 유입된 청동기와 더불어 자체 제작된 유물이 확인된다고 알려져 있다. 하지만 자체 청동기 제작을 위한 채광유적, 제동유적, 주조유적이 명확하지 않아 출토 유물의 형식학적 분류를 통하여 자체 제작 가능성을 제시하거나 석제 거푸집을 통하여 논의를 진행하였다. 최근, 남부지역을 중심으로 청동기를 주조하기 위한 용해 공정에 사용된 마두형 송풍관이 출토되고 있어 자체 제작 가능성을 검토할 필요가 제기되고 있다. 발굴 조사에서 확인된 송풍관을 재검토한 결과, 한반도 남부지역에서 청동기의 제작이 이루어졌을 가능성을 확인하였다. 한반도 남부지역 송풍관은 중국 중원지역에서 사용하던 것과는 형식의 차이가 보인다. 반면에 남부지역 송풍관과 형식학적으로 공통점이 보이는 것은 내몽고 적봉지역과 요령지역, 두만강유역에서 확인된다. 이 송풍관은 남시베리아지역에서 확인되는 것으로 한반도 남부지역 청동기 제작 기술은 초원지역에 계보를 두고 있으며 남부지역의 청동기 생산은 소량생산 체계임을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

In the Korean Peninsula, along with bronze artifacts introduced from the Central Plains of China and the steppe regions, locally produced artifacts have also been identified. However, no bronze-making sites, alloying sites necessary for mixing metals, or smelting sites have been discovered. As a result, discussions on the possibility of local production have relied on typological classification of excavated artifacts or stone molds as evidence. Recently, however, tuyeres, which appear to have been used in the smelting process for casting bronzes, have been excavated, particularly in the southern region. This increases the likelihood that bronze production took place locally. Therefore, by re-examining tuyeres discovered in previous excavations, as well as artifacts found during surface surveys that were not previously identified in terms of their function, this study aims to determine whether bronze was indeed produced in the southern region of the Korean Peninsula. Based on previous research, the tuyeres unearthed in southern Korea show typological differences from those used in the Central Plains of China. However, they share morphological similarities with those found in the Liaoxi region and the Tumen River basin, as well as, more distantly, with those discovered at the Novotroitskoye I site in Omsk, Russia, and the Strelkovskoye-2 site in the Angara River basin. Therefore, this study seeks to demonstrate that bronze-making technology in the southern Korean Peninsula has its origins in the steppe region.
