국문 초록

이 연구는 전통적인 레온티에프 모형에서 외생적 요소로 취급되던 가계부문을 내생화한 ‘수정모형’ 을 이용하여 가상의 정부투자 시나리오의 경제파급 효과를 생산 및 고용 측면에서 비교함으로써기존 승수 모형의 확장에 수반되는 특성을 검토하려는 것이다. 본 연구의 시뮬레이션 결과에 따르면, 정부투자 목표가 특정 산업의 성장이나 일자리 창출이라면 전통적인 레온티에프 승수 모형은 정책목표의 효과 식별에는 유용하지만 케인즈 모형에서 의미하는 소득이 소비를 통해 미치는 효과를 배제하고 있어 투자의 승수효과를 과소 추정할 가능성이 있음을 보여준다. 또한 이 연구의 추정 결과는케인즈 승수와 레온티에프 승수 개념을 결합한 ‘수정모형’ 승수를 이용하는 것이 소득이 소비에미치는 파급효과의 과소 추정 위험성을 줄이고 외생적 정부투자의 다양한 효과를 현실적으로 파악하는데 유용한 수단이 될 수 있음도 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to discuss the differences from the conventional multipliers and the expandability of the model by utilizing a modified Leontief model, which incorporates the household sector into the multiplier matrix. This study compares the effects of hypothetical government investments in terms of production and employment effects. According to the simulation results of this study, if the goal of government investment is to foster growth in specific industries or create jobs, the traditional Leontief multiplier model proves useful in identifying the effects of policy objectives. However, as it excludes the income effects that Keynesian models capture-where income influences consumption-there is a possibility of underestimating the multiplier effect. The estimation results of this study suggest that utilizing a modified model, which integrates the concepts of the Keynesian and Leontief multipliers, can help reduce the risk of underestimating the consumption-induced effects of income. Furthermore, this approach serves as a useful tool for realistically capturing the various effects of government investments.
