창업도약기업 수출지향성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 창업도약기업의 수출지향성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 자원기반 관점, 경영자 특성 관점, 산업조직론 관점에서 실증적으로 분석하였다. 대구·경북 지역 창업도약기업 352개사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 SPSS 28 프로그램을 활용하여 다중회귀분석 및 교차항 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 자원기반 관점에서는 기술혁신역량이 수출지향성에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 경영자 특성 관점에서는 기술혁신의지가 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 산업조직론 관점에서는 협력네트워크가 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 보였으며, 기술격변성과 협력네트워크 간의 부(-)의 상호작용 효과가 유의미하게 나타났다. 이는 기술변화가 빠른 환경에서는 협력네트워크 의존도가 높을수록 수출지향성이 오히려 낮아질 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 창업도약기업의 수출지향성 결정요인을 다각도로 분석하고, 기술혁신역량, 경영자의 혁신의지, 협력네트워크의 중요성을 확인하였다는 점에서 이론적·실무적 시사점을 제공한다. 특히, 산업조직론 관점에서 기술격변성과 협력네트워크 간의 부정적인 상호작용 효과를 발견했다는 점은, 창업기업이 외부 네트워크에 의존하기보다는 기술 변화에 기민하게 대응할 수 있는 내부 역량 구축이 중요함을 보여준다. 또한, 자원기반 관점에서는 기술혁신역량이 강조되었는데, 이는 창업기업이 글로벌 경쟁 속에서 차별화된 기술력을 확보하는 것이 필수적임을 의미한다. 경영자 특성 관점에서는 기술혁신의지가 중요한데, 이는 결국 창업자의 혁신 마인드와 리더십이 기업의 국제화 과정에서 핵심적인 역할을 한다는 점을 시사한다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 창업도약기업의 수출 경쟁력을 제고하기 위해 기술역량 강화, 경영자 역량 개발, 맞춤형 네트워크 전략 수립의 필요성을 강조한다.

영문 초록

This study empirically analyzes the factors influencing the export orientation of scale-up startups from the resource-based view, the managerial characteristics perspective, and the industrial organization perspective. A survey was conducted with 352 scale-up startups in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, and multiple regression analysis and interaction term analysis were performed using SPSS 28. The results indicate that, from the resource-based view, technological innovation capability had a significant positive effect on export orientation. From the managerial characteristics perspective, the entrepreneurial orientation toward technological innovation showed a significant positive effect. From the industrial organization perspective, cooperative networks exerted a significant positive effect on export orientation, while a negative interaction effect was observed between technological turbulence and cooperative networks. This suggests that in environments with rapid technological changes, excessive dependence on cooperative networks may reduce export orientation. This study contributes both theoretically and practically by comprehensively analyzing the determinants of export orientation in scale-up startups and highlighting the importance of technological innovation capability, managerial innovation orientation, and cooperative networks. Notably, the negative interaction effect between technological turbulence and cooperative networks suggests that startups should prioritize building internal capabilities to swiftly respond to technological changes rather than relying heavily on external networks. Furthermore, the emphasis on technological innovation capability from the resource-based view underscores the necessity for startups to secure differentiated technological competitiveness in the global market. The significance of managerial innovation orientation highlights that the entrepreneurial mindset and leadership of startup founders play a crucial role in the internationalization process. Based on these findings, this study emphasizes the need to strengthen technological capabilities, develop managerial competencies, and establish tailored network strategies to enhance the export competitiveness of scale-up startups.
