시민 안전체험교육 실태 및 개선에 관한 고찰 - Safe대전 안전체험 한마당과 대전안전체험관을 중심으로

국문 초록

체험기반의 안전교육은 안전체험교육장, 찾아가는 안전체험교육, 안전체험축제 형태로 운영하며 시민들의 안전의식을 제고하고 있다. 본 연구는 대전시 안전교육을 대표하는 안전체험축제인『Safe대전 안전체험 한마당』과 대전국민안전체험관의 운영실태와 프로그램 등을 분석하고, 이를 통해 개선방안을 도출하였다. 2016년부터 8회의 안전체험 축제를 개최하며, 생애주기별 6대 안전교육 분야를 기반으로 체계적인 프로그램을 운영한 결과, 생활안전, 자연재난, 교통안전 분야의 체험수요가 높았으며, 지진대응, 화학사고, 폭력예방 등 구체적인 체험 항목이 선호된 것으로 나타났다. 대전국민안전체험관은 7개 체험존과 11개의 체험실로 구성되어 방사능 안전, 첨단기술안전, 산업안전 등 지역적 특성을 반영한 특화 프로그램을 제공할 예정이며, 유니버설디자인을 적용해 재난취약계층을 포함한 모든 시민이 참여할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 가상현실(VR)과 증강현실(AR) 등 첨단기술 활용, 체험교육의 효과성을 높이기 위한 사후관리 체계 구축의 필요성이 제기되었다. 대전국민안전체험관과 축제형 체험행사(Safe대전 안전체험 한마당)의 역할을 상호보완하여, 단기적 체험교육을 넘어 시민들이 일상 속에서 안전을 체감하고 실천할 수 있는 지속가능한 안전교육 체계를 마련해야 함을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Experience-based safety education in Daejeon has been conducted through safety experience centers, visiting programs, and festivals to raise public safety awareness. This study analyzed the Safe Daejeon Safety Experience Hanmadang, a representative safety festival, and plan of Daejeon National Safety Experience Center, and identified key improvements. Since 2016, eight festivals have been held, offering systematic programs based on six life-cycle safety fields. High demand was observed in life safety, natural disaster, and traffic safety, with preferences for specific activities like earthquake response, chemical accident handling, and violence prevention. The Daejeon Safety Experience Center will feature 7 zones and 11 rooms with specialized programs reflecting regional needs such as radioactive safety, high-tech safety, and industrial safety. Universal design will ensure accessibility for all, including vulnerable groups. Enhancing experiential education effectiveness through advanced technologies like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and establishing a follow-up management system were identified as priorities. By complementing the roles of the center and the Safe Daejeon Safety Experience Hanmadang(Safety Festival), a sustainable safety education system is proposed to enable citizens to integrate safety into their daily lives beyond one-time events.
