국문 초록

Li, Na 등 금속화재 대응을 위해 소화기 성능시험 관련 기준의 필요성을 직면하고 있다. 이에 Na금속 화재 및 소화실험 설계 시 고려사항을 파악하고자 국내·외 연구사례 및 규정사항을 조사하였다. 연구사례에서는 키워드분석을 실시하여 핵심키워드 3개(fire, sodium, pool)와 보조키워드를 도출하였고, 이를 기반하여 연구 세부사항 검토하고 국내·외 규정현황 등과 비교·분석하였다. 결과적으로 설계화원, D급 소화기, 안전조치 등 고려사항 선별하였고 설계 절차의 작성 예시를 나타내었다. 결론적으로 설계화원은 pool 형태의 액상 Na화재로써 구성하고 D급 소화기는 13.6 kg로서 분말계열 사용을 선정하였고, 안전조치로서 전처리용 장비와 개인용 보호구 등을 사용해야 함을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This study addresses the necessity of establishing performance test standards for fire extinguishers used in suppressing metal fires, particularly those involving Li and Na. To determine key considerations for designing fire suppression and extinguishment tests for Na metal, a comprehensive review of domestic and international research studies and regulations was conducted. A keyword analysis identified 3 essential terms, i.e., Fire, Sodium, and Pool, along with several subsidiary keywords, forming the basis for a detailed examination of relevant research. Additionally, domestic and international regulatory frameworks were compared and analyzed. Consequently, critical factors such as design fire specifications, class D fire extinguisher requirements, and safety recommendations were identified. Furthermore, an example of a structured design procedure is presented. The findings confirm that the design fire should involve a pool-type liquid Na fire, the required class D fire extinguisher should have a capacity of 13.6 kg, and appropriate pretreatment equipment with personal protective gear should be employed to ensure safety.
