국문 초록

본 연구는 덴마크의 그룬트비 교육사상을 기반, 폴케호이스콜레(Folkehøjskole) 교육모델의 개념과 선진사례를 통해 한국의 평생교육의 정책적 시사점과 미래교육에 방향을 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 질적 사례연구를 진행하였으며, 선행연구 및 문헌분석, 덴마크 폴케호이스콜레협회 관계자 인터뷰, 다각도의 추가자료 분석, 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 덴마크 교육제도는 그룬트비의 교육철학을 바탕으로 공교육과 비형식 교육이 유기적으로 연결되어 성인의 계속 교육을 통해 평생교육 정책이 이어지는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 폴케호이스콜레 교육방법과 대상과 정부 지원에 대하여 분석하였다. 셋째, 폴케호이스콜레는 삶을 위한 교육, 전인교육을 제공하도록 규정하고 있으며, 실생활 중심의 교육을 운영하고 있다, 특히, 정부와 민간단체 간 협력을 통해 교육이 이루어지는 것을 확인하였다. 넷째, 덴마크 폴케호이스콜레 교육모델이 북유럽 국가뿐만 아니라 다양한 나라에서 운영되고 있으며, 이를 통해 한국의 평생교육에 대한 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 미래교육의 선진사례로, 한국형 폴케호이스콜레 정책을 알리고, 추후 정책 수립 시 유용한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대해본다.

영문 초록

This study examined the policy implications of lifelong education in Korea and the direction of future education through the concept and advanced examples of the Danish Grundtvig educational thought base, Folkeh øjskole educational model. To this end, qualitative case studies were conducted to derive prior research and literature analysis, additional data analysis on interview angles with stakeholders of the Folkeh ø jskole Association, and policy implications. The results of the study are as follows. First, based on Grundtvig's educational philosophy, Denmark's education system confirmed that public education and informal education are organically connected, and that lifelong education policies continue through adult continuous education. Second, we looked at the Folkeh ø jskole education methods, targets, and government support. Third, Folkeh øjskole stipulates that education for life, education for all people, and that it provides real-life-oriented education, especially through cooperation between government and private organizations. Fourth, Denmark's Folkeh ø jskole education model was confirmed to be introduced and operated in various countries from Nordic countries. The results of this study are expected to inform the Korean Folkeh ø jskole policy as an advanced example of future education and use it as a useful basic data for future policy establishment.
