대학 성인학습자 관련 연구동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학의 성인학습자에 관한 연구동향을 탐색하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2015년부터 2024년까지 한국연구재단의 등재지 및 등재후보지에 게재된 연구 중 대학의 성인학습자와 관련한 연구 총 185편을 대상으로 연도별 추이, 연구주제, 연구대상 등을 분석틀로 하여 연구동향 및 특징을 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학의 성인학습자에 관한 연구는 지속적으로 연구되어왔으며 2021년부터 증대하여 2024년 가장 많은 연구가 이루어졌다. 둘째, 대학의 성인학습자 관련 연구들은 주로 교육, 교과교육, 평생교육에 관해 다루는 교육학 관련 학술지에 주로 게재되고 있었다. 셋째, 대학의 성인학습자 관련 연구주제는 분석연구 유형이 가장 많았다. 넷째, 대학의 성인학습자 관련 연구는 주로 양적연구를 활용하여 이루어졌다. 다섯째, 대학의 성인학습자 연구대상은 4년제 대학 성인학습자를 대상으로 하는 시도가 가장 많은 것으로 검증되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 대학의 성인학습자 연구의 향후 방향에 대해 논의하였다. 본 연구는 대학의 성인학습자 관련 연구가 활발히 이루어지는 시점에서 연구의 동향을 분석하여 향후 연구방향과 과제를 제안했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the research trends on adult learners in universities. To this end, a total of 185 studies related to adult learners at universities among the studies published in the registered and candidate sites of the Korea Research Foundation from 2015 to 2024 were analyzed using annual trends, research topics, and research subjects as an analytical framework. The research results are as follows. First, research on adult learners at universities has been continuously conducted, and the highest number of studies was published in 2024. Second, studies related to adult learners at universities were mainly published in pedagogy-related journals dealing with education, subject education, and lifelong education. Third, the most common type of study on adult learners in universities was analytical research. Fourth, research related to adult learners at universities was mainly conducted using quantitative methods. Fifth, it was verified that the research subjects of adult learners at universities had the most attempts on adult learners at four-year universities. Based on these results, the future direction of research on adult learners at universities was discussed. This study is significant in that it analyzed research trends and suggested future research directions and tasks at the time when research related to adult learners at universities is actively conducted.
