국문 초록

최소 생존 궤도 진입의 지표인 손익분기점(BEP) 달성을 중심으로 스타트업의 애로사항 해소에 CEO 가 가진 사회적 자본의 특성이 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 자금조달 애로가 가장 두드러지게 손익분기점 도달 가능성을 낮추는 요인으로 나타났으며, 창업준비와 기술개발 과정에서 발생하는어려움도 부정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 반면 경영관리에서 나타나는 어려움은 직접적인 부정적 효과가통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 사회적 자본 중 가교(bridging)는 애로사항을 완화하여 생존을 높이는방향으로 작용하였으나, 전문 기관이나 투자자 등과의 연계(linking) 수준이 높을수록 오히려 초기성과가 저해되는 부정적인 결과가 나타났다. 본 연구는 스타트업의 불리함을 구체적인 하위 요인으로 분류하고, 각 애로사항에 맞춤형으로 사회적 자본을 활용해야 한다는 점을 실증적으로 제시함으로써 기존 연구의 한계를 보완하였다. 다만, 2차 자료 활용 과정에서 동일 기업이 중복 표본으로포함되었을 가능성을 완전히 배제하기 어려웠고, 실태조사가 사회적 자본의 다양한 양상을 충분히반영하지 못했다는 한계를 향후 연구에서 보완할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The impact of the characteristics of social capital possessed by CEOs on the resolution of difficulties faced by startups was analyzed, focusing on the achievement of the break-even point, which is an indicator of entry into the minimum viable orbit. The analysis showed that financing difficulties were the most prominent factor in reducing the likelihood of reaching the break-even point (BEP), and difficulties in the process of preparing for entrepreneurship and developing technology also had a negative impact. On the other hand, the difficulties in management and administration did not have a statistically significant direct negative effect. Among social capital, bridging has worked to increase survival by alleviating difficulties, but the higher the level of linking with specialized organizations or investors, the more negative the results, which hinders initial performance. This study complements the limitations of previous studies by classifying the disadvantages of start-ups into specific sub-factors and empirically suggesting that social capital should be used in a customized manner for each difficulty. However, it was difficult to completely rule out the possibility that the same company was included as a duplicate sample in the process of using secondary data, and it is necessary to supplement the limitations of future research that the survey did not sufficiently reflect various aspects of social capital.
