국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 주요 N-tuple Helices에 참여한 지식 집약적 기업이 협력 네트워크 내의 다양한주체들과 어떻게 관계를 맺고 있으며 이후 성과와 연결 되는지 탐색했다. 9개 기업을 인터뷰 한결과, 지식 집약적 기업은 협력 네트워크가 지식의 공유, 결합에 중요한 역할을 했다. 그 과정에서모든 활동을 협력하는 것이 아닌, 선택적 협력을 하고 있었으며, 주체 간 협력의 우선순위 및 강도도동일하지는 않았다. 또한 기업들은 지역 중간 지원 조직을 통해 혁신 보조금 및 투자 연계를 받을수 있었다. 특히, 지역의 개발 논리에 부합하는 기업일수록 투자 및 자금 조달이 용이하였다. 마지막으로 적극적으로 네트워크를 활용한 기업일수록 성과가 높았으며, 단순히 지원 사업 참여를 위한네트워크 활용은 제한적인 성과를 보였다. 본 연구는 기업이 클러스터 내 각 주체와 상호 작용하는과정을 체계적으로 분석함으로써 학문적이고 실천적인 시사점을 제시한다.

영문 초록

This study explored how knowledge-intensive companies located in N-tuple Helices in Korea interact with other entities and how this cooperation affects subsequent performance. Interviews with nine startups revealed that collaborative involvement is critical for sharing and synthesizing information in knowledge-intensive organizations. Throughout the process, not all activities were cooperated, but selective cooperation was conducted, and the priority and intensity of cooperation with each actor are not identical. Additionally, companies could have access to innovation subsidies and investment opportunities through local intermediary support organizations. The more firms that align with regional growth logic, the easier it is to invest and raise finance. Finally, the more organizations that actively used the network, the better the performance; nevertheless, using the network only to participate in the support project yielded limited results. This study has academic and practical implications since it carefully assesses the process of how companies engage with other actors in the cluster.
