보건계열 대학생의 보건분야 국제개발협력 수업의 효과 평가

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 보건분야에서의 국제개발협력 수업의 효과를 평가하기 위함이다. 연구대상자는 보건계열 학생 42명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구는 보건분야 국제개발협력 수업의 효과를 평가하기 위해 단일집단 전후검사 설계 방법과 서술적 현상학적 연구의 혼합연구방법을 적용하였다. 국제보건 핵심역량 효능감, 세계시민의식, 진로정체감의 전후의 차이를 paried t-test로 평가하였고, 수업에 관한 경험은 질적 주제분석 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 국제보건 핵심역량 효능감(t=-8.90, p=<.001), 세계시민의식(t=-4.73, p=<.001), 진로정체감(t=-4.14, p=<.001)이 교육 전에 비해 교육 후에 유의하게 상승하였다. 연구대상자가 경험한 국제개발협력 수업은 강의, 특강, 조별프로젝트 방법을 통해 국제보건 핵심역량 효능감, 세계시민의식, 진로정체감이라는 3개의 주제와 8개의 하위주제로 나타났다. 보건계열 학생을 대상으로 보건분야 국제개발협력 수업을 단편적이 아닌 지속적으로 제공할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an international development cooperation course in the health field. The participants of this study were 42 health-related major students. To assess the effectiveness of the international development cooperation course in the health sector, a mixed research method combining a pre-and-post design with a qualitative interview approach was employed. The differences in international health core competency self-efficacy, global citizenship awareness, and career identity before and after the program were evaluated using a paired t-test. Results showed significant improvements in international health core competency self-efficacy (t = -8.90, p < .001), global citizenship awareness (t = -4.73, p < .001), and career identity (t = -4.14, p < .001) after the class. The experiences of the participants who took part in the international development cooperation course were categorized into three themes—international health core competency self-efficacy, global citizenship awareness, and career identity—along with eight sub-themes. It is essential to provide the international development cooperation education in the health field to health students not as a one-time event, but as a continuous offering.
