“그러나 너 이스라엘, 나의 종아”(이사 41,8)유배 시기에 구원을 선포하는 제2이사야의 신학적 기초에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

이스라엘의 역사 안에서 야훼-종교의 전환점을 이룬 사건은 기원전 587-538년 사이에 벌어진 바빌론 유배 사건이다. 이 시기는, 이스라엘 백성이 전통 신학의 붕괴를 체험한 시간이며, 동시에 새로운 신학적 가르침을 정초한 시간이다. 하지만 흥미롭게도 바빌론 유배 시기를 배경으로 전개되는 정경은 매우 드물다. 그러므로 바빌론 유배 시기를 마무리하는 시대를 배경으로 삼는 제2이사야가 정초한 신학적 기도(企圖)는 이스라엘의 역사 안에서 유의미하다고 평가할 수 있다. 제2이사야는 유배의 시간이 마무리되고, 유배 중인 이스라엘 백성이 다시 예루살렘으로 귀환할 것을 선포한다. 이러한 맥락에서 본고는, 이스라엘 백성이 지닌 유배 시간에 대한 인식과 그러한 인식을 넘어서는 새로운 구원을 예고하는 제2이사야의 시도를 바라본다. 이스라엘 백성의 유배에 대한 인식은 이사 40,28에 드러나며, 그들의 인식의 전환을 이끌어내기 위한 제2이사야의 시도는 이스라엘 백성을 야곱/이스라엘로 호명하는 가운데 그들을 “주님의 종”으로 표현하는 41,8-9에서 구체화된다. 유배를 체험하면서 하느님의 선택과 보호로부터 내쳐짐을 체험한 이스라엘 백성을 향해 하느님의 구원을 선포하는 제2이사야의 저자(들)는 몰락과 파괴를 체험한 야훼-종교를 재건하고자 노력하는 신학자로 평가함이 마땅할 것이다.

영문 초록

The event that marked the turning point of Yahweh-religion in the history of Israel was the Babylonian exile that occurred between 587 BC and 538 BC. This period was a time when the Israelites experienced the collapse of traditional theology and at the same time established new theological teachings. However, interestingly, stories set against the background of the Babylonian exile are very rare in the Bible. Therefore the theological plans established by the second Isaiah set at the end of the Babylonian exile can be viewed as significant in the history of Israel. The second Isaiah announces that exile will come to end and that the exiled Israelites will return to Jerusalem. In this context, this paper studies the perception of the people of Israel at the time of exile and the second Isaiah’s attempt to foretell a new salvation that goes beyond the existing perception on the exile. The Israelites’ awareness of exile is revealed in Isaiah 40,28, and second Isaiah’s attempt to bring about a change in their perception is embodied in 41,8-9, where he refers to the Israelites as Jacob/Israel and “servants of God.” The author(s) of the second Isaiah, who proclaim God's salvation to the Israelites who were cast out from God’s protection and experienced exile after being the chosen by God, should be assessed as theologians who strove to rebuild Yahweh-religion after the experience of decline and destruction.
