본 연구는 20대 성인을 대상으로 불안정 성인 애착이 절제적 섭식에 미치는 영향에서 자기 대상화와 신체 불만족의 순차적 매개 효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 전국 20대 남녀 성인 415명을 대상으로 하여 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 29.0과 PROCESS Macro 4.2 프로그램 6번 모형을 통해 기술통계 분석, 상관분석, 매개 효과 검증을 수행하였다. 또한 부트스트랩을 실시하여 불안정 성인 애착과 절제적 섭식의 관계에서 자기 대상화와 신체 불만족의 매개 효과 유의성을 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모든 변인은 서로 유의미한 정적 상관을 나타냈으나 불안정 성인 애착이 절제적 섭식에 미치는 영향에서 직접 효과는 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 불안정 성인 애착과 절제적 섭식의 관계에서 자기 대상화의 매개 효과는 유의미하지 않았다. 셋째, 불안정 성인 애착과 절제적 섭식의 관계에서 신체 불만족은 유의미한 매개 효과를 갖고 있었다. 넷째, 불안정 성인 애착과 절제적 섭식의 관계에서 자기 대상화와 신체 불만족의 순차적 매개 효과가 유의미한 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 20대 성인을 대상으로 절제적 섭식에 이르는 심리 내면적 경로를 설정하고 이를 검증하였다는 것에 의의를 지닌다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study assesses the impact of insecure adult attachment on restrained eating in adults in their 20s, focusing on the sequential mediating effects of self-objectification and body dissatisfaction. For this purpose, an online survey was conducted with 415 men and women in their 20s. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 29.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2 programs, and the mediating effects were determined through Process Macro Model 6. The results revealed that while there were substantial positive correlations between all the variables, however, no significant direct relationship was found between insecure adult attachment and restrained eating. Additionally there was no significant correlation found between the mediating effect of self-objectification with restrained eating and insecure adult attachment. In contrast, the relationship between insecure adult attachment and restrained eating was significantly mediated by body dissatisfaction. Furthermore, it was confirmed that there is a significant relationship between insecure adult attachment and restrained eating, with self-objectification and body dissatisfaction acting as sequential mediating effects. This study is noteworthy since it established and verified the psychological process that leads to restrained eating in adults in their 20s. The study concludes with a discussion of limitations, along with suggestions for future research.
