정신장애인 동료지원활동 경험에 대한 개념도 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 개념도(concept mapping) 연구방법론을 활용하여 정신장애인의 동료지원활동경험을 탐색함으로써 정신장애인 동료지원에서의 주요개념을 도출하고, 동료지원의 확대 및 발전방향성을 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 동료지원 양성 교육 과정을 이수하고 동료지원활동 경험이있는 정신장애인 11명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하였고, 79개의 핵심 진술문을 도출하였다. 이후 연구참여자가 직접 분류 및 평정한 핵심 진술문을 바탕으로 집단 유사성 행렬표(GSM)를 작성하였고, 다차원척도법(ALSCAL)과 위계적 군집분석을 활용하여 개념도를 그렸다. 연구 결과, 정신장애인 동료지원가의 동료지원활동 경험은 실천노력 차원과 실천효과 차원, 그리고 동료지원 실천방향 차원과 동료지원 실천가 차원으로 구분되었고, ‘동료를 바라보는 관점’, ‘경험 전문가로서의 필요역량’, ‘연속적인 배움의 과정’, ‘삶의 회복 증진’, ‘나와 동료의 동반성장’, ‘직업군으로의 자리매김’ 의 6가지 군집으로 범주화되었다. 연구참여자는 분류된 군집 중 6군집인‘직업군으로의 자리매김’을가장 중요하다고 평가하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 정신장애인 동료지원가 제도화를 비롯한동료지원 활성화를 위한 방향성에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the peer support experiences of peer support for persons with mental illness using concept mapping methodology to derive key concepts in peer support for people with mental illness and to suggest directions for the expansion and development of peer support. To this end, interviews were conducted with 11 mental illness who had completed the peer support for persons with mental illness training educational program and had experience in peer support activities, and 79 core statements were derived. The research participants then sorted and rated the final derived statements, and the data were generated in a Group Similarity Matrix and Multidi- mensional Scaling and Hierarchical Cluster Analysis and Hierarchical Clustering Analysis (Ward method). As a result, the peer support practice experiences of peer supporters with mental illness were divided into practice efforts factors and practice effectiveness factors, and peer support practice direction factors and peer support practitioner factors, and were categorized into six clusters: “Perspectives on peers,” “Necessary competencies as experience experts,” “Continuous learning process,” “Promoting life recovery,” “Mutual growth of self and peers,” and “Positioning as a profession”. The study participants rated the sixth of the categorized groups, “Positioning as an Occupational Group,” as the most important. Based on these findings, recommends directions for promoting peer support, including institutionalizing peer support for persons with mental illness.
