국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 구약성경과 제2성전 시대 문헌을 통해 아브라함의 복과 성령의 약속이라는 두 신학적 모티프의 발전과 연관성을 추적함으로써 갈라디아서 3:14에 나타난 이 두 모티프 간의 관계를 해석하는 것이다. 또한 이러한 관계가 바울의 갈라디아서 전반적인 논증에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지, 그리고 성령을 종말론적 유업으로 확장하는 유대적 해석에 대한 바울의 이해를 어떻게 설명할 수 있는지를 밝히고자 한다. 갈라디아서 3:14에 나타난 두 신학적 모티프 간의 관계는 기존 학자들이 제시한 견해들을 평가함으로써 검토된다. 본 연구는 바울이 이 연관성을 어떻게 바라보는지를 문법-역사적 해석학적 접근을 통해 분석한다. 이 접근법은 갈라디아서 3장의 사회-역사적 맥락에 대한 연구를 기반으로 하며, 특히 수집된 자료의 분석을 바탕으로, 후기 선지서와 초기 유대교에 나타난 두 모티프 간의 상호작용에 대한 상호 본문적 해석을 제공한다. 이러한 조사 결과를 토대로 바울이 갈라디아서 3:14에서 이 모티프들 간의 관계를 어떻게 발전시켰는지 설명한다. 바울의 성경 지식을 고려할 때, 그가 믿음으로 아브라함의 복을 받은 이방인들을 양자의 영을 통해 하나님의 자녀로 지칭했을 가능성이 매우 높다. 그러나 바울의 반대자들은 아브라함의 축복을 아브라함의 후손들과 연관 짓고 구약의 율법을 따라야 할 필요성을 강조한다. 바울은 하나님께서 이방인들이 율법 준수가 아닌 예수 그리스도에 대한 믿음을 통해 성령으로 아브라함의 “참된 후손”이 될 수 있는 길을 제공하셨다고 주장한다. 따라서 갈라디아의 이방인 신자들도 성령을 받았기에 “참된 아브라함의 후손”으로 간주된다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to provide an interpretation of the relationship between the Abrahamic blessing and the promise of the Spirit in Gal 3:14 by tracing the development of and association between these two theological motifs through the Old Testament Scriptures and Second Temple literature. It also explains how this may have influenced Paul in his juxtaposition of the two motifs in Gal 3:14, how their relationship would shed light on his overall argument in Galatians and on his agreement with the Jewish expansion of the Spirit to the eschatological inheritance. The relationship between these two theological motifs in Galatians 3:14 is reviewed by evaluating existing viewpoints presented by previous scholars. The research includes an analysis of how Paul views this association through a grammatico-historical approach to exegesis. It also provides an intertextual interpretation of the interaction between the two motifs in the Latter Prophets and early Judaism in the setting of a socio-historical study, following an analysis of the collected material. How Paul developed the relationship between these motifs in Galatians 3:14 is explained using the results of the investigation. In view of Paul’s knowledge of Scripture, it is very likely that he would designate the Gentiles, who by faith received the Abrahamic blessing, as children of God through the Spirit of sonship. However, Paul’s opponents associate the Abrahamic blessing with Abraham’s descendants and highlight the subsequent need to follow the Old Testament law. Paul argues that God provides a way for Gentiles to be “true descendants” of Abraham through the Spirit based on their faith in Jesus Christ, and not through adherence to the law. Therefore, the Gentile believers in Galatia are also considered to be “true Abrahamic descendants” since they received the Spirit.
