국문 초록

This descriptive research study examines the job embeddedness, emotional intelligence, and turnover intention of veterinary nurses, analyzing the moderating effect of emotional intelligence on the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intention. The study was conducted with 250 veterinary nurses who had more than six months of work experience in animal hospitals nationwide. Out of the 250 collected questionnaires, 247 (98.8%) were used for the final analysis, excluding three questionnaires that showed biased responses. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program with descriptive statistics. The respondent‘s job embeddedness showed a significant positive (+) correlation with emotional intelligence and a significant negative (-) correlation with turnover intention. Emotional intelligence also showed a significant negative (-) correlation with turnover intention. Additionally, respondent‘s emotional intelligence demonstrated a moderating effect on the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intention. According to the results, when the level of emotional intelligence is lower, turnover intention decreases more rapidly compared to when the level of emotional intelligence is higher.
